“Purple Garlic is our hands down favorite Italian restaurant! Coming here is like "Cheers" where when you walk in, "Everyone knows your name" and make you feel right at home. Chris, the manager, is so accommodating and keeps things running smoothly. This restaurant doesn't have an overly extensive menu, but what they have is prepared wonderfully. No matter what we have ordered, it always tastes great! Also, they make one of the best pizzas in San Antonio. Come here and you won't be disappointed!”

“Table was not ready at reservation time, but these things will happen. The rest of our evening was fantastic. The food was delicious and everyone is extremely attentive. Someone was always welcoming you or thanking you or wishing you a safe drive home. Be advised, be prepared to open up those wallets. Worth it, in my opinion.”

I ordered a glass of wine and was offered "a glass and a half" instead. I accepted, but didn't realize that my serving of wine, which wasn't delivered for 20 minutes, would cost me $19! “Loved the wings. Coffee wings have a great smoky flavor. The jerked wings are spicy and absolutely delicious. The only thing better than the wings was our super friendly and knowledgeable waitress, Jillian. She made great recommendations and even invited us to a game of Jenga while we waited on our wings. Almost forgot the mozzarella sticks were the best I've ever had. Will definitely be back. Great wings, great service.”

“We were visiting from out of town and I was craving Filipino food — so glad we found this place! We had the lechon kawali, sago to drink, chicken adobo and breakfast tapa. All delicious and well-done. We bought a flan to take home in the grocery part of the store and it was also really yummy.It’s cutely decorated too — the painted walls are beautiful and festive. We are in the main room, but there also was a smaller room/section that had an even more tropical islands vibe.Note: Coffee usually comes with evaporated milk on the side. Just FYI in case you don’t like your coffee sweet—just ask for regular milk.I was a little disappointed in the turon dessert we ordered and had there — it wasn’t as traditional as I would have preferred, but I didn’t knock it for that since the Ube ice cream with it was really, really good and everyone else at our table devoured it.”
