Everything was fine up until I had to pay. First of all the waiter didn’t even ask us if we were done, just went to the table machine and asked if we were paying in cash or card. I’ve been to Chilis plenty of times before, and even once at this location in November 2023. I payed on my own through the machine and didn’t need someone to help me pay for my check. So I was throughly confused on why the waiter decided to check us out on their own. It wasn’t like this Chilis was busy anyways. So I was with one other person and we decided to spilt the check like we normally do. Note, I was hesitant to give my card to the waiter since I wasn’t used to this at Chilis. Our final total was $39.90 mind you. And off of a sudden while the waiter has my card, the machine messes up and charges the entire total to my card. The waiter tells me that they’re going to go try and void the charge in the back with my card still in hand. 1 minute goes by and they come back and say that they wouldn’t be able to void the charge and that I won’t be able to get that charge back. I check how much the charge is and it’s $49.08. Almost $10 more than our original total so I was confused. Turns out the system charged us $9.18 for the tip by itself. If I’m correct, the customer is supposed to put in the tip amount and if they even want to tip, especially the POS system at Chili’s. I tried to talk to both the waiter and what Im assuming was the manager afterwards. I asked for not only an explanation on what happened, but to see my order and if there was a way I could get a refund. But they declined both and said I couldn’t see my order because of customer privacy and that my refund would take a week to reach my account. They offered me a $5 gift card, but honestly I just wanted to leave after not be able to get a refund on a charge I did not authorize.

The service at this location 13050 Northwest Fwy, Houston, TX 77040 is Horrific! I have never received even mediocre service here! I keep giving them a second chance over and over because, this Is the location near me and each time I am disappointed! Today I finally decided I will never return here ever again! I didn't even eat my food and left without ordering my Birthday dessert!

I always come to this location, rarely have any issues. Tonight in particular (03/14/24) I was overcharged for stuff I didn’t order and we didn’t realize that till later when we started breaking down the prices for the 4 items we ordered !!! A burger ($13), appetizer $14), & 2 drinks($6 each) came out to $48 ! Then we left a $10 tip which I regret doing so now. They really are stealing from customers. They also don’t print out receipts when you pay on the computer thing they leave on the table. Warning to anyone going to this location ! Check your receipts. Will not be going back.

Ordered ( order # 25296767194644480 )to go on 3/11/24 and when I arrived and checked in I got to watch the clerk stand there and play on his phone until I called him and asked him to bring my order out then when he brings out my food he asked if I even checked in and I showed him I did and instead of apologizing for my wait he shrugged his shoulders and said oh I didn’t see it which I’m sure he would have if he wasn’t on his phone leaning against the window. Horrible service!
