The kitchen forgot my food. Everyone in my group of 6 got their food and started eating.During the hour that we waited, the waiter periodically came by to let me know that he was repeatedly telling the kitchen about my food. Eventually everyone finished eating so we asked for my burrito to go.They finally brought it long after everyone finished, and THEY DIDN'T EVEN COMP THE BURRITO. Will never go back.

Ok, well when you go in and place an order, this lady brought me the debit card reader for me to insert my debit card, and I watched her finger hit the 20% tip button and I said why do I have to pay for a tip because I'm taking it to go, and she wasn't the one who took my order! And then she told me to put the amount in and when I hit enter, another tip came up, I said look, I'm not paying for a tip because I'm taking it to go and I didn't place my order with you, so I guess she found out that I wasn't no fool, and she took my debit card to the other register, and it was the right amount, no I'm not being cheap, but I just didn't like the way she tried to play me and think I wasn't looking, so at this point, I'm not EVER going back there, and the same night when I took my order home, the fajita beef was all fat! Cheese look like government cheese all stuck together, just a very bad experience! Never again!!!!!!!

My husband and I eat here all of the time but yesterday they out did themselves we had a party of 30 people and every thing ran very smooth! The service was top notch and the people who work there are all very friendly and everyone loved the food. Thank you El Palenque we will be returning!!!

My experience here was not good at all. I ordered one margarita and did not finish it due to feeling loopy and off. my head was burning eyes burning stomach pain and overall could barely walk. This makes me not trust this place of business I feel like I was gave something more than tequila. The food was ok but I will never come here due to safety. I have a drink when I go places and I’ve never experienced this. Be careful

El Palenque has great Mexican food. Light crowd on a Tuesday evening. Friendly and helpful wait staff, clean dining area and tables, warm chips and tasty salsa. I went for my go to plate, Tacos a la Plancha, basically 3 semi crispy corn taco shells STUFFED with shredded meat, cheese, diced tomatoes and a slice of avocado. Declined the rice (not on my allowed foods) and opted for the refried beans. Tacos arrive on a taco holder, keeps them upright and off the plate (don't get soggy), refried beans and some shredded lettuce. Delicious meat, easy to eat and plenty of it. The toppings all blend well and every bite is a blend of flavors from old Mexico! Always a great visit! So go ahead and treat yourself!

This place is a staple in the area. It’s been there for so long and has a lot of loyal customers. The food and options are good but they have definitely increased their prices a lot over the years. Margaritas are good and strong and their salsa is good.
