Definitely a good bbq restaurant for being a chain. There’s nothing like the original on Kirby. But a quick trip back to my hometown and Goode Co on 290 does the trick! Ribs were good as always. Brisket was a little dry for being cut off the moist/fatty side. Service was great and friendly staff. Loved that Texas pecan pie to top it off!!
We got take out from this establishment recently and ordered a 3 meat platter. The meat portions portions were extremely small. The Mac and cheese was not great. The baked potato was good. The jalapeno cheese bread was great. I just don't see the value in less than 8oz of meat for the price paid. We will not be going back.

I have been a Goode Co fan for as long as well...as long as I've been a Texan and that's been a mighty long time! The food is served cafe style so you get to see what you're ordering. And I personally am a big fan of that, cause if you're like me, you can just look at a piece of meat and tell if it's tough and dry. My sister ordered the chopped beef brisket sandwich plate and let me just tell you folks, when I saw that little lady start slicing into that big beautiful hunk of meat and chopping it up, I legit started drooling! I swear she probably could have done it with a butter knife! And boy howdy was it tender...I did risk a hand stealing a forkful off her plate... so worth it! I only had one thing on my mind walking through those doors... Baked Potato loaded to the gills... it's at this point I feel I should mention for anyone that might read more than one of my many, many, many...ok fine... I really like food... that my reviews quite often don't actually have pics of any food. The reason being is once it's in front of me I fall on it like a pack of starving wolves. Now back to that baked potato! They are a meal in themselves and are loaded with everything you want even the aforementioned tender and tasty brisket! I also got a side of the Mac and cheese cause I mean really who can pass THAT up!? It was delicious and you can tell it is NOT from a box, large elbow macaroni and so so creamy... where's my bib.... Well that got wiped out first and the ONLY reason I didn't lick the bowl clean was my sister gave me the look... and yes I would have for those of you wondering They also have jalapeño bread that is so fresh and is an excellent complement to any of their meats and is also great for the sandwich plates! There is a large room outside that can be reserved for private parties. As well as a large outside seating area for the nice days and nights with games like jenga and corn-hole If you're looking for some goode bbq look for Goode!

Food was ok, would not be my first choice for bbq. Brisket was delicious, Mac and cheese was on point and their jalapeño bread was delicious as well! Everything else was ok. Service and ambiance is amazing! Great customer service and they even have a relief area for pups! If the food was juuuuust a bit better this would be my #1 spot every weekend

Jan 2024: Sandwhich $10. BBQ had no flavor. Bbq sauce had no flavor. Very sweet. Potato salad had no flavor as well wasted $4.00. I asked for chopped brisket because I don’t like fat. But the meat to bread ratio isn’t the best. Just get smaller buns. Didn’t put my onions in so this experience wasn’t great. Plus they don’t have the fries anymore so I have no sides I like. Could’ve definitely saved my $15 bucks.2017: Best chop brisket fries pickles onions and sweet tea
