King Bakery

This bakery will sell out in several hours, every day, rain or shine, like clockwork. They take cash only so come prepared. The parking here is terrible as it's in a plaza where there are tons of stores. We were recommended the pineapple custard bun which had a flaky outside texture and creamy custard (not too sweet) inside. The best thing though was definitely the pork bun which was generously stuffed with sweet char siu pork. My baby loved the breads! Definitely worth the visit!

This is an old bakery that hasn’t been renovated. Though there are display cases at the front and at the sides of the store, there isn’t any bread displayed.The menu is simply a piece of paper right at the front where the cash register is. The options offered aren’t a lot but what they have, is sufficient for me. This bakery is amazing!!! Reminds me of the mom and pop bakeries that you would find at corners in small towns.100% the best egg tarts and pineapple custard buns in Houston, possibly Texas. The only other place I have had this good quality of Chinese pastries was in San Francisco China Town.Took me forever to find a good place is Houston.
