If you find yourself in Houston looking for Great Smokey Ribs I highly recommend Pappa's. A rib sampler is more than enough for two to enjoy. They offer a large selection of sides. We tried the green beans which were excellent! I would not recommend the macaroni & cheese unless you like the stuff out of a box at home. I prefer good baked macaroni & cheese. Took the long drive from Houston on a tip. Wow! This is truly BBQ worth driving for. Don't hesitate just go. And if you are in Austin, don't waste your time standing in line, make the 45 minute drive. You won't regret it.

This is a hole-in-the-wall BBQ joint. I say that lovingly. The address is on Lydia St, as is the front door, but you enter through the side door on Scott Ave. They have a good selection of orders and a good selection of pop/soda in cans, and not just cola/lemon-lime drinks, either. I had the BBQ ribs. They were beautifully smoked, tender, meaty and there sure were a lot of 'em. The potato salad was slightly sweet, I don't know how they did that.
