Rudi Lechner's Restaurant Reviews
I used to go to Rudi's on a weekly basis. Ever since the restaurant sold and Rudi's been out it has been on a steady decline. Cost has been cut and the original recipes fared the worst. Soup menu with all the amazing traditional soups is gone. The meat had an Indo-European (as in Georgian, perhaps Ukrainian?) sauces and taste to it, nothing like what you'd fine in German/Austrian cuisine. I just came back from Munich so I actually know how these things should taste and while Rudi was there, they did. The pickled cabbage even tasted off and watery. Service was slovenly, dishes kept on piling on the table while several wait staff walked around with nothing to do. By the time we got to desert, they were out and didn't care. I won't be returning...ever.
Fun place with an authentic atmosphere to enjoy good German cuisine

This is not a German Restaurant!!! We have never been this disappointed by a restaurant like we have been tonight. I don’t even know where to start. The lemonade was watered down. The pretzel wasn’t a German Brezel it was an American pretzel I can get at any mall and it tastes better there. The Jägerschnitzel was watered down as well, the sauce didn’t have any flavor because of the water. Käsespätzle served as casserole dish, never have I ever seen this before and it was the worst Käsespätzle I have ever tasted. It was basically liquid cheese with “Spätzle” swimming in it and the top of the dish was broiled like a creme brulee. I ordered regular Spätzle but these weren’t any better, didn’t have any taste or flavor. The mixed veggies were from a microwave package. I highly recommend to rethink your concept, this is anything but good, just embarrassing. Do yourself a favor and don’t ever go here, you’ll waste your time and money, and won’t get to experience German food!!!
