My husband and I have traveled and eaten all over the country and overseas. This meal was deliciously perfect, from the customer service to the meal. We ordered appetizers laughing bird shrimp and house smoked salmon. Our entrees were chicken fried lobster, crab cakes and Parmesan truffled fries. For dessert we ordered key lime pie. Every single item was perfectly made. Tayo was a perfect host and all of his recommendations were delicious. We will visit this restaurant every time we visit Houston. Stopped here for the second time around and the food and ambiance is nice. I wasn’t that hungry so I just grabbed a burger it was almost the best burger I’ve had in a long time until I got to the middle of it and seen it was pinker than original bubble gum. Idk how they did that. But the salmon was good and they gave me a little percentage off and offered dessert for the mishap so they straight in my book. Fries were good weren’t to salty and were hot. I wasn’t a big fan pig the gumbo and it was kinda spicy and the oysters were so-so too.

My family took me to the Oceanaire for my birthday Friday night. The vibe was exactly what I hoped for, it was very classy and intimate. The service was exceptional and the food was very fresh and delicious especially the calamari! For dinner I ordered the crab cake stuffed lobster and a yummy mango Moctail, my husband had fresh catch and my daughter opted for a juicy steak. Our sides served family style included the sautéed spinach….and lobster mac it was perfect not too rich nor too creamy which sometimes overpowers the dish. We definitely will dine again because I forgot to try the clam chowder which is my absolute favorite!

The valet staff were very polite and professional. I must say, the restaurant vibes was absolutely stellar!. The ambiance was cozy yet chic, creating the perfect setting for a night out. The plating of the food was exquisite. However, while the presentation was impressive, the taste of the food left much to be desired (taste was not comparable to my expectations). Additionally, the service was lacking, with a relatively long wait times and inattentive staff on a Friday night. *We were a large party so I’d give the staff some grace for forgetting certain details. Overall, while the atmosphere and presentation were top-notch, the experience fell short due to the disappointing flavors and subpar service.

If you’re tired of the excuses for poor service and poor quality then definitely eat at Oceanaire. I was in town for a quick business trip and ate dinner here. A manager Rob came to our table and recommended something that we overlooked on the menu. Lobster Thermidor. Absolutely amazing. Bryce at the bar made excellent drinks and service all around is top notch.Thank you for renewing my belief that service is not gone in our country!

Visited for dinner and the overall experience was okay. Serving ce was good, but the food was slightly disappointing. I got the sesame crusted seared tuna and it wasn't that great. However, my wife's jumbo scallops was very delicious. The jumbo scallop is something I would get again if I were to go back. The grilled oyster rock was decent. The grilled asparagus had very hard stems that should have been cut away IMHO. I shouldn't need to spit any part of the food out for a $14 side. Great wine selection at decent prices for a restaurant.Would I go back? Meh, not really.What would I recommend? Jumbo scallops.
