“I absolutely love this place! I’m always right on time for fresh donuts & kolaches, or it seems that way. The couple that make the food is so nice and friendly. It’s one my favorite morning spots to stop at. Spicy Boudain Kolaches are the bomb!“

“Just tried this place for the first time and was very happy with my breakfast sandwich. The croissant was light and flaky, the bacon and eggs were cooked perfectly. The only thing that I am disappointed about is I only had one to eat.

“The sign says D’ight Donuts, however this isn’t the case. The Donuts specifically the kolaches are delicious and worth mentioning. I recommend the “country boy” kolache with jalapeños. The meat to bread ratio is phenomenal, a little bit of grape jelly on that country boy , that’s all you need. Wonderful customer service and an all round pleasant donut experience.“

“The croissant sandwiches are a good size and the jalapeno cheese sausage kolache was good. We both wished that the donuts are warm, but you can't really expect that at most donut places, unless you come right at opening.
For a dozen donut holes, a croissant sandwich, and a large kolache, the total was $11.77 and that's not bad nowadays.“

“The shop has new owners. The mother and daughter who run the place are amazing. They genuinely care about you. I stop every morning for a coffee with a shot of expresso and my kolache or donut. The bread on the kolache is delicious and the donuts are always made fresh. Most of the reviews on here are from the old owners. Give them another shot and trust you will not be disappointed!!! “Mar 2024 - it's an H-town thang and a Houston institution! BEST ? donuts around. Love the hot glazed. Chocolate covered is a must. And if you're in the mood for "NOT a donut," try a kolache. My fav is a saugage, jalapeño & cheese. ? Now, a stop at Shipley isn't complete unless you get dozen donut holes for snacking later. Lol?. They have all the other favorites, too... filled, cake, sprinkles, cinnamon rolls,bear claw, apple fritter, etc... The coffee is good. ? and OJ, milk, and bottled water available. Yea, there's Dunkin, Crispy Cream, Tim Hortons, and many, many neighborhood donuts ? shops... as for me and my family, it's Shipley! The H-town institute for donuts!“

“A good locally owned donut shop. The selection of donuts is a little light compared to the big chain stores. However the selection of kolaches and breakfast sandwiches was better than most chain donut stores. Additionally, the kolaches were fresh and tasted GREAT! The donuts were also tasty and fresh.“

Most of team strike that balance of sweet but not sickening, and their filled donuts come with just the right amount of filling.If you've got a major sweet-tooth, though, go with the Bullseye. It is essentially a donut cupcake, and it was a great idea.There is also a very nice guy working here that is incredibly personable and charming- I missed his name, but it was just him mid-day on a Saturday and my friend and I probably spent 15 minutes just chatting with him and swapping fun facts before we left. Definitely made it worth going in the store.“

“We go to Shipley's as a family every Saturday morning at 8. We're always greeted in a very friendly manner. We get our order filled quickly and accurately. They have a very good selection except for old fashioned cinnamon rolls. Recently, we've been served by Nicole and Diego who are very help and friendly. We almost always get good and fresh donuts seldom under or over cooked. That's a call out to Emi and Francisco as I understand it who are the cooks.“
