I’m from Burnet but decided I wanted to try a new place. I drove with no destination and ended up at this Log Cabin Cafe. Let me tell you.. the hash browns were the best I’ve actually ever had. I also got the full order of the biscuits & sausage gravy and it was great! My server Amber was working so hard and was serving everyone in the building, making teas, taking orders, and managing the whole front desk all while there was an afternoon rush. She absolutely crushed it...
My coworker told me he loved this place and I’ve been meaning to try it but I’m no early riser. Finally got the chance to stop by and it was a great experience. The restaurant is small and the parking is limited, you check in with them if they’re full and they will come grab you from your vehicle when they are ready which I thought was nice and thoughtful instead of making you wait outside.

It's a local cafe with local flavor, so don't expect singing waiters, Flambé dishes, or swirled ketchup decorating your plate under the food. You won't find that type of artificial glitz here. Another thing you won't find and the reason I give them 5 stars is a plethora of wide-screen tv monitors all around the room. It's a pleasant change from what has become the norm of trying to convert restaurants into sports bars or someone's living room....
