I have visited Kilgore Mercantile & Music two times and both times were terrific! The people here are just awesome. Warm, friendly and courteous and after chatting for a few minutes, they make you feel like a longtime friend. I come from Mineola for the Music Jams on the Secondary Saturday in Jan and Feb of this year and had a great time playing and enjoying the others. While I am admittedly biased because I’m family, Vivian and Fred treat everyone like family. It’s a charming place with great atmosphere. Trifecta of good ice cream, great music, and wonderful people.

One of my wife and I’s favorite places to visit, grab some hand-scooped Blue Bell ice cream and enjoy the great company of the proprietors Fred and Vivian!A Must Visit! The Mercantile is one of Kilgore’s and East Texas best experiences and treasures. Located in Downtown Kilgore under the Oil, Derricks.
