This place is so much fun and full of unique gifts for the whole family. Or just come in and enjoy some music while you have a scoop of blue bell Ice cream. We love the Mercantile! Mr.Fred is so patient and kind when giving music lessons. Ms.Vivian is warm and welcoming and all the staff are so sweet. They have clearly poured their hearts out into the Kilgore community and it shows with how many "regulars" and new customers come in every time we are there!

I have visited Kilgore Mercantile & Music two times and both times were terrific! The people here are just awesome. Warm, friendly and courteous and after chatting for a few minutes, they make you feel like a longtime friend. I come from Mineola for the Music Jams on the Secondary Saturday in Jan and Feb of this year and had a great time playing and enjoying the others. Fred runs one of the best jams and Vivian and staff makes some of the best food and deserts. Thanks for what you do for the community!

I lived in kilgore in 2020 when the store was new and i know covid had everyone worried with uncertainty for small businesses. I have since moved away and am happy to see that years later, the store that Fred and Vivian have worked so hard for is still in business! This shop is great for gifts/treats for loved ones or for yourself. Vivian is very sweet and hospitable, everyone should stop in at least once for a scoop of ice cream and a walk around. Many blessings to your business and if i am ever able to visit I will be stopping here!
