My brothers ordered the BBQ plater, and the meat was very hard. I ordered the pulled kalua pork, and it was tasteless. I was very disappointed since I heard nothing but good things about this place.
I live in Austin but when I'm in the area I typically make it a point to stop at L&L to grab a bite. Being from Hawaii, this place always reminds me of home and tastes just like it was made in Hawaii. Chicken Katsu, Kalbi, LocoMoco, the Mac Salad... whatever you get you can't go wrong. It can take a little bit to receive your food (depending on how busy it is) so a good idea would be to order online and/or call ahead in advance unless you don't mind waiting a bit.

Whenever a new place opens we like to give them a few months to get established and then go in and try it out. We ordered a variety of items, a few recommendations from the young lady at the register and went to wait on our food. Couple of touchy issues for me that I couldn't give 5 stars for service. Food prep, even sauces, happening at the front counter is a bit concerning. The young lady working the counter was very quiet, not very welcoming but was polite.
