“Annie is a wonderful barista, she makes fantastic coffee and chai, and has a delicious selection of kolache, muffins, and sweet bread. She was a delightful person to chat with and exceedingly welcoming to me when I mentioned that I was out of town. We will absolutely be back the next time we're in town!(no food photos due to it being too delicious and I ate them before thinking about it ?)Parking: It's all dirt and grass“

“It has taken me awhile to make it to this cafe. We live in the area and do not eat out much. However, this little cafe is going to be a regular for our family!I have been twice in 2 days- lunch and then breakfast. I dined with my husband, son, daughter-in-law and three grandsons- 16,15 and 5. Everyone loved their food- no exceptions! We played pool, basketball, tic-tac-toe, had coffee (delicious!) and enjoyed the people around us.The owners are hard working and genuinely care about your experience at their cafe. Additionally, their community outreach is evident throughout the cafe.Earlier today, I witnessed an unwarranted customer complaint while dining. The customer was scamming for a free meal at best, and race-baiting at worst. The owner handled the customer’s complaint with class and respect. Kudos to their team. For all of these reasons, not to mention the fabulous food, you definitely need to visit Out of the Way Cafe!“

“This place was such an amazing find! I can not eat gluten, so most pizza places end up off my list because of the options available. I looked up the menu for Dough Joe and noticed gluten-free pizza. I am so glad I went here. Not only did they have a lot of delicious Pizzas, but they also took the gluten allergy seriously. They prepared my pizza carefully to avoid any cross-contamination. They even used a different pizza slicer to ensure my pizza didn't become contaminated from other pizzas that contain gluten. I ordered the "chicken bacon ranch" pizza with BBQ sauce instead of the white sauce (contains gluten), and it was hands down one of the best gluten free Pizzas I've eaten. I will definitely be returning to dine here quite a bit. If you are gluten sensitive, make sure your server knows about it, and they'll make sure the kitchen makes accommodations when they prepare your food. I didn't have any reactions after eating here. Thank you, Dough Joe, for taking precautions the way you do. It is rare to find a restaurant that does all of that.Vegetarian options: Some vegetarian options are clearly labeled on the menh.Dietary restrictions: Gluten-freeParking: Parking spaces directly in front of the restaurant along with street parking on the side road.Kid-friendliness: Very kid-friendly, family-friendly atmosphere“

“Sat atop Main Street in the tourist area of Bandera sits this quaint but sizable coffee shop. Without insisting on itself too much, Cowgirl Coffee offers a subdued but familiar take on country style cafes. There are no overly decorated cowboy, or cowgirl paraphernalia adorning the walls, just simple country vibes fill you once you step foot inside. Being the first customer of the day does not bode well to critique customer service, yet I do not doubt it would suffer on high volume hours. The food and drink I ordered was on par with many popular shops with not too much boast. Presentation on the other hand for sit down customers(such as myself), would have been well welcomed. The sandwich I ordered was nothing to rave about, but one can only expect so much from a small coffee shop. The macchiato was good, not too sweet and quite flavorful with the added English toffee. Overall this coffee shop is a good start to your morning before taking in the day wandering around this beautiful town. Grab a coffee and a bite, and as the sign says, "relax and unwind."“
