Th3 salmon was a little dry and out waitress was going to cut that out of our bill and we said no we just wanted to let her know it was a little dry! “I stopped for gas and to use the restroom. Saw the sign for Indian food. There were other food choices but I was willing to take a chance. I was given fresh, hot Samosas, garlic Naan, rice, and chicken Tikka Masala. It was all delicious! The total was more than I was expecting; however, it was such a nice treat, the guy who waited on me was very friendly, the Christian music I was listening to made me feel good, and the place was clean, plus I could make two meals out of it so I left a tip also and agreed to write a review on google. I also left them a brochure for CCHero.org so I hope they make that switch to save money and give to charity.”

“It was a nice family restaurant. We went for lunch. Had catfish plate and chopped beef sandwich with okra. Catfish included baked potato, salad, toast and hush puppies. I’m pretty sure the tartar sauce was homemade. It was all delicious! Reasonably priced. Good service.Parking: Parking for trailers available.”

“It was dirty on the steel serving line. I have been coming here for years and never seen it this unkept. My friend and I let the manager know and it was wiped down immediately. He was amazing, very attentive to everyone in the restaurant. Good manager. Just caught the staff off guard.”

“They were very kind and welcoming immediately as we walked into the door. We got to choose where to sit which is great when you are with a service animal. Our waitress was so sweet and remembered everything we asked for. She even allowed me to speak some Spanish to her and she didn't bawk at me attempting to do so. The food was very good and it came out really fast. I had the flautas and they were hot and fresh. The rice was so good! My husband had the migas and they were good also. “I eat here all the time. Today we only had a short lunch at work and I came in with a pocket-full of orders from my coworkers shortly after Hippo opened their doors. The staff was awesome! “We travel through Gainesvilles on 82 at least once a month. Stopped and tried this jewel of a place out. Best catfish and meatloaf I’ve had in a long time. Buffet or menu. This is our new place to stop and eat.Parking: Easy big lot for trucks to get in and out ofKid-friendliness: Roomie and gives the kids plenty of options on the buffet.”
