So out going and attentive, she single handily brought my table to tears of joy with her level of service. get this woman a raise. matter of fact, just let her run the show because i think everyone can learn a little something about hospitality from Destiny. Also very clean bathrooms.“

“This is, without a doubt, the best restaurant (old school or new school) in San Antonio. All the rest are pretenders! Cappy has been serving us all since the mid 70's. American food, touch of Cajun, a big dose of delicious! Don't miss the coconut cream pie! A local secret! Start to finish, FOOD, SERVICE, AMBIANCE! You name it. This IS the place. Good luck getting a table. I recommend, start early.“

“Magical. The dak galbi was an incredibly beautiful take on elevated Korean food, and I found myself polishing off my entire plate. The pesto pasta was very light and and almost floral…equally delicious. This was the best dinner I’ve had in San Antonio. The service was just as good as the food. 10/10“

“Really love this place but lately it seems they are struggling to maintain their regular hours of operation. Perhaps its a staffing issue like so many restaurants right now. It would be nice if they would update their situation via Facebook or put a recording on their phone. I'm praying for them to overcome, I would love to give them some business if they would open.“

“Lori was so hospitable and gave us an amazing experience. She even turned on the outdoor lights so that we could walk around and take pictures after dinner. She recommended an excellent wine and put us on to a new favorite dessert - sticky toffee pudding. This place checks all the boxes and the winery cats were a bonus.“

“Cappy's "little sister" lives up to Cappy's example in food quality and pricing. The food is more 'casual', soups and sandwiches, with some interesting salads, and desserts. The sticky toffee pudding is a personal favorite. My only real complaint is the fact that the chocolate cake has nuts on it! I love chocolate and can't tolerate nuts so I am doomed to not be able to enjoy the chocolate cake that I love...“

“We've been here two times in the last week and both times it was incredible. I almost don't want anyone to know about it so it can be me and my husband's secret date night place. ? The location is beautiful and both times we ate on the patio. The weather was nice with a light breeze. The food was so delicious and drinks were on point. We made reservations both times, but not sure it was needed. They seem to have plenty of seating. I will probably still make reservations so I can make sure I get seated where we like. The staff was so welcoming and knowledgeable about the menu. The nutty professor drink is a must. It's a dessert alcoholic drink and makes the perfect ending to a great meal. We had the deep fried brussel sprouts and the description of how they were prepared had us intrigued so we got them. So glad we did because they are good. My husband got the pork belly and he liked it. He had the steak bavette the first time and he really enjoyed that. I had the citrus marinated grilled chicken both times and I highly recommend it. The carrots and potatoes are worth it alone. This is our new fancy date night spot.Parking: Plenty of parking spots.Wheelchair accessibility: There are no stairs to navigate although it might be a tad difficult to get to the creek.“

“We stopped in on a rainy Thursday evening while in the area. It was rather slow at the restaurant, likely due to the weather, so we were seated immediately, waited on quickly and informed of the Happy Hour specials. My wife went with a Thai steak salad and I had the cheeseburger. Both were very good. The appetizer of friend onion rings were hot and crispy although the batter is a bit heavier than what I would prefer but still very good. I've never had to review a paper towel machine in the bathroom before, but their's is the kind you wave your hand under and it rolls out a bit of paper for you. I've never had a machine give out a paper towel the size of a sheet of toilet paper before. It took about 5 pieces before I was able to get enough to dry my hands. Very strange for a more upscale place.“

“Went for breakfast on a whim with my wife and chose Magnolia Pancake House. Best coffee we've had since the Hawaiian coffee at Dukes in Waikiki. Chose the Magnolia house breakfast with pecan pancakes. This was our second visit and must say it was definitely worth the morning drive. Totally recommend any of their locations. We have been to the one on 1604 and this last visit was at the Huebner location.“

“We have been coming Southerleigh for a few years now. Our last review was 3 years ago so decided to write a more recent one. Recently, we had moved in the area, so we frequent the restaurants here more often. Our last visit was Thursday night in which we stopped in for a nightcap. They were pretty busy . The one thing I like is that they recently added a full bar. Thursday night in particular, Janie and Kelly, as well as David were behind the bar. We've been served by Janie and Kelly before so we're pretty familiar with them. Anyway, just wanted to give a shout out as we did arrive when it was pretty busy. They took excellent care of us. Thank you all so much . Btw..The food is also on point. See ya soon!“

“Overall a good meal and the food seems the same as the other location. I started with the house salad minus feta which is still one of the best salads I've ever tasted. It is pricy but delicious. Then we split the chicken wings which are a nice size. At our servers suggestion, we mixed the lemon pepper with buffalo for the sauce which was salty but excellent, perfect heat level for me. Next we split the tuna ceviche which was just ok for me, not enough pico on it. I wouldn't order again as it was bland imo. Looking forward to coming back to this location, much less crowded than the other location and food is just as good.“

“Went for lunch with a friend yesterday. It was my first time and ordered something familiar- J*** Chicken. The meal came with rice, stewed cabbage, and fried plantains. Worth the price. The chicken was flavorful and the meat easily fell of the bone. The fried platains provided a sweet contrast. The rice and cabbage had their own flavors and were seasoned well. You can experience the flavors of individual component, but you can always tell the star of show- the J*** Chicken.“

“This location is relaxed and family friendly before 9pm. They have craft beer on tap. A full bar. Daily specials. Happy hour. TVs for sports. Small kitchen. Outdoor picnic tables. Simple playground to keep the kids busy. Adjacent to small business & one other bar. I would not recommend walking to this location from downtown. There are homeless in the area. Once at the location it does feel safer to walk The parking & location do feel safe.“
