“Great breakfast but I do not understand the wait. So we were a party of 7. There were 2 people sitting down and waiting. Six booths empty. A table for six with only 2 people eating. 6 waitresses yet the waiting was 45 minutes. If you are a restaurant professional may be you could explain that.We visited again as we were invited. 180 degrees change. The service was extraordinary.“
“We have been wanting to try Lubbock's Breakfast House & Grill on University for awhile now so we took a shot and my, my, my! We were not disappointed! From the service, to the food, to the cleanliness. Our experience was a great one. We were so impressed we went two days in a row and both days were equally enjoyable! Gloria and Demi, our servers, were really sweet and attentive. Those ladies work their tails off making sure everyone is well taken care of. They kept our coffee cups topped off and hot, as was our food. The only exception being the biscuits and gravy which were cold when we got them which they rectified, not enough to deduct a star in my opinion. Try the Pork chop and eggs with the home fried potatoes, the Chicken biscuits and gravy, or the Ham, green chili and cheese omelette. They were all delicious! Y'all have new customers for life anytime we're in town that's for certain!“
“In a word: satisfying.Have you ever heard the saying, “snooze you lose”? Well, at this eatery, you can snooze and win big time because the food here is delicious! There is plenty of specialty items to choose from, like creme brûlée pancakes, habanero pork belly and omelettes. The specialty drinks are also delicious. The service is great too, even though the place was extremely busy the wait staff saw to our needs in a timely manner. I especially loved the decor with the throwback tables, chairs and booths. “Heard it on line they have the best hot sauce so I had to buy a jar. It is absolutely the best hot sauce I've ever had. It's not hot I'm not sure if they make a hotter version but the flavor is fantastic!! Also, their apple fritter have real actual apple chunks. I wish it was warmed but wow amazing stuff!!“

“Omg!! The food was amazing. No wait while we ate dinner. I had the French Toast with Strawberries, pecans, bananas, chocolate chips, cinnamon, powdered sugar and of course whip cream!!! My mom had the Turkey Sandwich with home made onion rings, Jo had Chicken Fried Biscuits. “The menu is just as you’ve read - lots of choices. Something for everyone. We had a fun time choosing. We were delighted with what we ordered and couldn’t finish everything - it was so plentiful. Everything was prepared here lovingly by a busy staff in the kitchen. Everyone who took care of us while we were here was polite and excellent - it felt like a great experience of Texas hospitality. I wanted to meet the owner to let her know how pleased we were but she was out at the time and so the manager popped by our table to say hello. Yes we loved it.“
