Reviews for The Nicolett

This is a very nice restaurant. Kudos to the chef/owner for starting this restaurant in Lubbock. There's nothing similar to it in Lubbock, so I'd compare it to restaurants elsewhere in Texas, like Christopher's World Grille (College Station), Odd Duck (Austin), Hugo's (Houston). The space & ambiance at the Nicolett is very nice, it's great for a special occasion with a loved one or with a group. The flavors are nice, the ingredients are carefully chosen and prepared nicely. full review
My girlfriend and I were in Lubbock recently and wanted to go to a nice place to celebrate a birthday. We got texts and emails prior to our visit asking for confirmation and a small questionnaire the night before. Arrived a bit early on a Friday evening intending to have a drink before dinner but they seated us immediately. So far, so good. Unfortunately things went downhill from there. It took quite some time (over 15 minutes) before anyone took our drink order, and full review

Outstanding meal! Very high quality ingredients and wonderful service. Much higher standard than anywhere else we've tried in Lubbock. In fact, it reminded us of some of our favorites from places like London, Prague, and Strasbourg. Super high quality food with lots of local ingredients, extreme attention to detail, thoughtful and developed flavors, and fantastic staff. We were very impressed and can't wait to go back.
