I eat junk food as if I am on the My 600lb Life show, and the only vegetables I’ve had in the last 10 years are from the Kale Salad at The Cookshack. Omg that kale salad is the best kale salad in the world period. If they had a restaurant closer to north McAllen, I would eat there everyday. Try this place!! It’s a must!
Stopped in for a late lunch and really enjoyed it. The menu is simple to read and they offer their chicken in a variety of ways.The restaurant was very clean and the staff was friendly and inviting from moment we walked in.I went with the chicken sandwich (mild) and picked fries for my side. I really enjoyed my sandwich and the mild sauce didn't have a kick at all. The fries were thin and crispy, which is my favorite. 10/10+ fantastic customer service. I came in a little too close to closing time, and the staff were so friendly and took my order. They made my order fresh and not reheated! When restaurants go the extra mile for their customers, it makes a lot of difference.
