“Let me start by saying that this bakery has been around for years! Ever since I can remember my family and I would come to buy some pan dulce especially on those chilly days where you needed something to accompany your cafecito. The sweet bread was always freshly made, soft, and delicious! Their conchas are on of my favorites. Service is always pretty quick.“
“I didn't rate the service or atmosphere only because I wasn't there to pick up the cookies but I'm sure it was top notch since one of my sons drives from Harlingen just to get their cookies .. I had the vanilla cookie with the creme on top and let me tell you it was THE BEST cookie I've ever eaten ..It rivaled my aunts chocolate chip cookies from childhood and that's saying a lot because I LOVE chocolate ! ?I would have normally chosen a chocolate cookie but thought to myself" Self .. try something different ? .. " I second guessed myself 3 times if that makes any sense because I don't like anything vanilla accept maybe some Vanilla Bluebell ice-cream ..Lemme tell you ...I felt like I was eating a mini cheesecake !It had the perfect chew and the creme on top was PHENOMENAL ..Also it was not sickeningly sweet as some desserts can be and was a very good size cookie ..The only down side is that now all other cookies have been ruined for me ?SO DELICIOUS !! ???“
“I stopped at this little hidden bakery in December 2019. I bought a dozen tortillas and a donut. The bakery is very small and has a limited variety of baked goods. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The tortillas were $2.35 per dozen and the donut was $.69. Very reasonable. Both items tasted very good and were very fresh.“
“I absolutely love going to Shannon’s Sweets I go specifically for her morning iced coffee runs for my husband and my self. Everyone is great and always gives great recommendations. 5 stars all around. I totally recommend this place they have a little bit of everything for everyone.“
“Authentic, small, drive-thru defiantly spanish only speaking wait staff. Great food and service. Nice baked goods.Parking: Covered parking between buildings and street parking is very close.Kid-friendliness: Small restaurant, small dining area, I would bring infants in off-peak hours. I do not recall a kids' menu. But friendly place special orders no issue.Wheelchair accessibility: No identified handicap parking, but level parking and no steps required for entry. No handicap identified seating, but the staff will accommodate you.“
“Im pretty obsessed with their little pig shaped cookies (not sure of the name) & the pandulces. I go here all the time because I'm always craving something sweet. I can't eat the American round donuts because there is just too much sugar (or oil? Not sure...) but it just makes me sick. However, this place is so good.“
“A valued business staple in the mid valley area if you’re looking for great pan dulce. The owners are local and take pride in their work. If you like empanadas de calabaza, make sure to ask for them when you walk in. You will get them fresh, warm and tasty. Absolutely the best.“
“Mexican bakery . Stopped by to purchase sweet bread for Traditional Family Rosary merienda after prayer for Our Virgen Lady of Guadalupe. Service was great and bread freshly made. Loved it, Bakery also serves breakfast tacos and a variety of plate lunches. All very delicious, stop by and you be the judge.??“
“First time at our church that we get pan dulce from this place ? it was delicious. We got a lot of good comments from our congregation and visitors that came to church for RESURRECTION SUNDAY at 6 am and afterwards we service coffee, chocolate, & orange juice and pan dulce. Thanks to the members that donated the pan dulce and to Valley bakery in Mercedes. God bless you.“
