This is such a beautiful place! I just found it by searching for a brunch place and it's so gorgeous inside. The entire restaurant is adorned in flowers, and smells like spring and home cooking. There's a flower shop inside where you can create your own bouquet, and a little artisan market to shop after your meal. We were sat very quickly and served delicious cucumber lemonade that was so fresh and sweet. We had the goat cheese dip as an appetizer, the bobbi sandwich,the spanish omelet, and grits. Everything tasted so authentic and fresh, beautifully plated, and large portions. I can't believe we've lived here so long without trying it! This place is 10/10, I can't wait to come back!

What really are roots? A dictionary might tell you that roots are a part of a plant, usually located at the lower portions under the earth, which facilitate the transfer of nutrients to the plant itself. But what I really think roots are, are life. Life. Big word, life. It means forever and that’s a mighty long time, but I’m here to tell you, there’s something else: Southern Roots. Southern Roots, yet again, does not just meet expectations. It does not even just exceed them, it does not even just break records. My friends, Southern Roots is fulfilling needs you did even know you had. Southern Roots is four-dimensional chess compared to Domino’s checkers. Southern Roots had, a few hours before this evening, been a restaurant which, albeit exceptionally good, was still tethered to the Earth, some might even say rooted. But my experience there only a few hours ago at the special IB Lamar Art Exhibition hosted at Southern Roots courtesy of the one, the only, Ms. Mariana Linaldi, broke those chains and rocketed the establishment beyond that of a restaurant. This art exhibition made Southern Roots what I think it has always been, a great melting pot of minds, creativity, and most of all, sheer will. The creativity oozing from its walls this evening flowed out down the parking lot and into the street, attracting visitors far and wide to revel in Southern Roots’ imaginative glory. And in the end, it makes perfect sense. Who wants prose when you can have poetry, truth when you can have mystery, or a restaurant when you could have the birthplace of Gods. This cloak of creativity, aroma of awe, valley of vision is found in one place and one place only: Southern Roots. Additionally, the bathrooms were impeccably clean, at the men’s.

My sister and I came with my 2 year old niece for breakfast. The staff was real kind especially our waiter. My niece would make little quirks and noises and he was friendly with her easing the quiet atmosphere for her to be comfortable. Aftee a delicious breakfast we shoped for some flowers at the market and browsed the boutique. Amazing experience!

My wife and I went here this morning for a valentines breakfast, as the morning is our only time both free from the kids. After a couple minutes we were seated. A few minutes later a waiter came and took our order.Everything was fine, …so I thought.After about 15 minutes (while I was in the restroom) a different waiter came and said the other waiter didn’t want to serve us and that he would take our order again for us. My wife told him we had already given our order but the new guy said the order wasn’t submitted. We had been there 20 minutes and weren’t going to start over.When I came back I was surprised to hear what happened, but seeing as we were short on time and hungry, I said, “oh well”, let’s go somewhere else. I should have asked for an explanation, but at the moment just wanted to get somewhere and eat. When a restaurant doesn’t want to serve you, you certainly don’t want to eat there anymore anyways.Definitely won’t be back.

Eaten at Southern Roots many times and have enjoyed until this morning. Something happened to the coffee and it was not available until after we had eaten so refused. The meal I ordered said fruit. I asked for no pineapple but it was on my plate. The portion of fruit was in a tiny cup for sauce. They did bring a big bowl of fruit which wasn't ordered and the cantelope was bad. Returned the whole bowl and said do not return but it was. Horrible waitress, thought she could remember but she did not listen. Will not return again.
