““This is a beautiful caramel macchiato” honest review; better than the last 6 Starbucks I’ve been to. The two coffees we tasted had very high quality syrups but maybe 10% too much overall, one was sweet enough to taste like a dessert coffee! Either way there were excellent.“

“I took a star off because the soda fountain dispenser was issuing warm drinks. If you know anything about carbonation, you know that warm drinks served through a fountain are generally flat drinks. However, the place was clean and quiet, and the service was fast. Everyone seemed very friendly.“

“Came to this location for breakfast on my way out of town. Service was on the spot, got my order right, and made sure everything was good. The food was fresh and hot, and served quickly and correctly even during the morning rush. Will definitely visit here again.“

“I travel all over Texas for work and constantly need to find a good coffeeshop to work in for an hour or so. As a result, I have spent more time in small-town-Texas coffeeshops than the average person. Jo's Downtown is one of the best anywhere. The inside has the vibe of Cianfrano's in Georgetown or the old Spiderhouse in Austin without feeling like you aren't cool enough to be there. Even when super busy, the staff are warm and welcoming. It feels like hanging out at a close friend's home. The chai is one of my favorites. It's nice and spicy and not overly sweet. The only food I've had is a bagel. It's not a New York bagel by any means, but it's a hell of a lot better than what most other places in Texas call a bagel. Lastly, I love that they have a variety of seating. There are larger tables where groups could work together, cozy chairs and couches for reading by yourself or crocheting or catching up with a friend, and lots table space with convenient outlets or extension cords nearby for workers on the road like me. Jo's is one of the best things about this cute little town.“
