Tried out Texapolitan Pizza today and was beyond disappointed. For the price we paid, the size of each pie was a joke..basically personal sized, we got 3 and it wasn’t even enough for 6 people. When we opened the boxes the pies weren’t even cut, they were ice cold and the slices were so soggy. The dough can’t handle the amount of toppings and sauce put on.Coming from the east coast where pizza is king I wasn’t going in with high expectations but I thought it would be better than this based on the reviews. There’s potential but you guys Definitely need to get the dough crispier and sell normal sized pies.

Yummy, wood fired pizza. We tried the margherita pizza, the elote (very cool and delicious, and a pepperoni with fresh jalapeño’s. Will come back and would recommend.

Had the Holy Cheesus and wow! Similar to an Alfredo pizza but made with such better cheeses! Definitely looking forward to trying more pizzas and so happy to have this pizza place downtown VA!

I feel like at this point I need to write a more in depth review. Originally drawn by the fact that it was a great BBQ restaurant, Texapolitan drew me in for the allure of great wood fire pizza with some Barbeque “Easter Eggs”. Let me say this, Stefan the chef/owner is a mad scientist and I am here for it. His Brisket Elote was phenomenal. His crab queso pizza was off the charts good. Then in consecutive weeks he has topped himself with these last two mad hacks. He made a Pork Belly based Adult BLT with his “Texy Sauce” and replaced the bread from a BLt with a wood fired pizza pita shell. Best “sandwich” had in ages. Then, this week his P.O.W. “Pie of the Week” was the Fungus Amongus. If you appreciate mushrooms, come get this thing. He used no less than 4 types of mushroom with different flavor profiles and textures to produce the best tasting mushroom pizza I have ever had.Ok, now that I am gushing over the flavor… here is the other kicker. They are located right across the street from famous Bill Smith’s Cafe. So when you originally search Van Alstyne to pick your lunch spot, and see the 2 hour wait on the weekend, here is your alternative!

Loved it when it was a barbecue place. Love it as a pizza place. We had the smoked pork belly pizza and a pepperoni. Well done!

It's the absolute worst pizza I’ve ever eaten. But nice response from the business owner, very professional ??. I did give you a good service and atmosphere rating, but your pizza was just trash. Sorry to break it to you. Typically, I go to Grimaldi’s for pizza. You should try it one day and then write back. I will be waiting for my apology ?.

I had heard great things about this place and drove about an hour to try it. It was well worth the drive. I haven't had a pizza this good in over 20 years. You can tell they use quality ingredients and is not the typical Southern Pizza. Add in the extra pork belly flare and you can't beat it. Will definitely be back.

Great new pizza spot! My husband and I stopped in for lunch this week and had the Texas Twinkie pizza, which is brisket stuffed jalapeños chopped on a pie. Delicious! Amazing flavors, fluffy crust, excellent service.
