“First time eating here! We live in Palestine. Recommended by ETX Neuropathy nurses for a place to eat. Good selection, friendly & helpful staff. CFS sandwich...OMG! It's huge!! Great bbq prices too. Keith got 3 meat plate with 2 diff ribs, lots of ribs! Will definitely eat here again.“
“My wife had the smothered steak with onions and she said it was really good. I had the Hot Sausage Sandwich combo. While it was good, be warned that if you get this, the sausage is some of the hottest you will ever eat. If you want your mouth to resemble the surface of the sun, go ahead and order this. Just have some milk nearby. Otherwise, it is a great place to eat. Everything that I saw on other customers' plates looked delicious.“
“Stopped by The BBQ Shop for lunch while passing thru town. I’m glad I did! What a great BBQ joint. It opened in 1959! We enjoyed brisket & pulled pork sandwiches with beans, slaw, pimento cheese stuffed jalapeño and apple cobbler with sweet tea. I was all delicious! I especially enjoyed the cobbler. It was very reasonably priced, a great atmosphere and the service was top shelf. Don’t change a thing. I’ll drop by next time I’m in town.Parking: Plenty of space if you’re pulling a trailer of driving an RV.“
“Smoky as we were driving by, and our curiosity got us, did a U turn follow the smokeThe first time ever that I pulled out Google to see reviews and recommendations on what to order. Brisket with mac & cheese, fried okraGentleman let us sample his meats so we could decide on lean or fat and we chose thin layer of cardiac arrest brisket ?Cooked to perfection, someone recommended fried okra and I'm glad I listened... hear, hear! If you have never liked okra for whatever reason, you'll love it now. Fried awesomely perfect, bite size, crunchy, not slimy little taters ..so gûd??? you'll want to pop a few orders of these.Place is attached to a gas station, a bit old but cozy. Staff is beyond friendlymaybe let go of the plastic tablecloth as it kept sticking to our arms and just go bare ??♀️“
“We just got into town for service on our coach, and people told us we have to go to Brendyn's BBQ for lunch. We are so glad we did. The brisket was great, and I loved the stuffed jalapeños. Also, needs mention is the jalapeño cream corn was very good as well.Stop in when you are in the area. Well worth the stop.“
