McAlister’s is definitely a great place to get lunch. They have good food and a great atmosphere. We had a work lunch here and were able to easily find seating for 10. They had decorated for Christmas and it was very well done.

I have never been to this restaurant and now I am obsessed!! I ordered half a sandwich and half a potato and still got an entire potato! But I understand that the full size ones are enormous. The chicken tortilla soup is wonderful and the ham and cheese sandwich was really really good. The "cherry on the top" was the sweet tea. Yummy and just the right amount of sweetness and the prices were good too.

The lot the restaurant sits on is small! Parking is tight. The restaurant is very clean and quiet. First time going wasn't sure how it worked. They did have a drink machine but it was out of service so they were doing the drinks. Once you order they will give you a number you put on the card holder and they will bring your dishes out to you. It's more of sit in than what I would have thought. You also leave everything at the table and they will pick it up. We ordered the pick two the south west spicy chicken, that one was a disappointment you couldn't taste any spicy and you couldn't taste the chicken as well. The Ruben was delicious good portion and fresh. Also the chipotle chicken bacon potato was delicious, it was fresh and steaming the chipotle sauce was very good. Definitely don't go for a large if you can't eat much!

OK so today you know I am back for my salads. so today when I went to McAllister‘s, I was looking at the menu and they have this new item. OK it’s new to me because I haven’t seen it called Buffalo. It’s a buffalo chicken salad so I decided to try it. I added a couple of things like onions, bell peppers are the little green peppers or whatever and some olives and all of that with it now, when I first tasted orbit into it the buffalo sauce dressing had a little kick to it. But it was actually really good. I could not finish it. now whatever extras I added hat something sweet to it cause they wanted to peppers and they gave it a even better kick. I had only one pack of the dressing.

The Lufkin store and staff are great, but on catering orders if the customer doesn't leave a tip for delivery McAlisters pushes the delivery over to Door Dash for a tiny tip. End story is McAlisters "Corporate" exploits Dashers! Not Cool...

I've had some good experiences with this place in the past, but today's NY sandwich was unimpressive. A little mustard schmear, a small blot of melted cheese and rolls of mild flavor meat on a flaccid bit of mild bread.Employees are exceptionally attentive for semi-fast food place.
