“Mark catered for my grandmas 90th birthday. He did a wonderful job! We had brisket, chicken, green beans, and mac and cheese for 50 people. Everyone got their fill and we had plenty left over. It was everyone’s opinion that all of the food was absolutely delicious. Thanks again Mark for making our party great!“

“Came here as a group of 30 vet tech students with our professors on our way back to class from a field visit. It seemed like it would take awhile to order given the number of us but the line flew by quickly. The food came out within a reasonable amount of time, given the amount that was ordered and it was all hot and fresh! Their burgers are AMAZING, like seriously I'm considering making the 45-minute drive with my husband so he can try them cause the house sauce they put on it was so good!! I tried their Snickerdoodle cookie and it was very good and fresh as well. Highly recommend it if you're in the area.“

Circle 4 Bar-B-Q Barbecue •
1526 N Lasalle St, Navasota

“Bottom Line: *NOT* where Google maps shows them to be (North LaSalle St north of Navasota TX, which is their kitchen location). Their vending location is south of Navasota on South LaSalle St just across a double set of railroad tracks. Circle 4 is a diamond in the rustic rough serving very very tender BBQ and generous portions of flavorful, though fairly typical, sides at "can't be beat" prices. Seriously, their prices are almost 50% off of what is usually charged in the College Station & Bryan TX area. These folks are easily the value champs for BBQ. This is the kind of place you dream of finding as you pound out the thousands of miles the road demands of you before rewarding you with such hidden gems. Save yourself the miles and take my recommend to visit this Mom & Pop joint if you're ever in the area. Top Line: I hit up this delightful duo for a sliced beef sandwich, 3 pork ribs, and 8 oz each of potato salad & beans. While they do have picnic table seating, it was too windy that day to sit outside. I and my lunch would have wound up a couple counties over in no time! So I knoshed in my car and watched a couple hawks wheel around the windy sky. The sandwich was built on white Wonder bread style slices. Sauce was very tomatoey in taste with a solid pepper snap to it. Beef was, as noted, very very tender. Smoke taste was less distinct & punchy than many other briskets I've had in the past. Smoke note was softer & more subtle. Still a mighty tasty sandwich. Ribs were literally "fall off the bone" tender. I had to be careful eating them or gravity would strip the meat off the bone onto my lap, which I'd judiciously napkined up as a precaution. The rib meat was super tender on the tongue. The 3 bones came in a cup pre-drenched with plenty of the aforementioned peppery tomato sauce. You can bet plenty of finger lickin' ensued after the bones were chewed clean. The sides were not at the same level as the meats. The beans tasted okay, as if a can of grocery store beans had been doctored a bit. I seemed to get turmeric spicing notes, a touch of smoke, and a touch of heat at the back end. The potato salad also tasted like pretty standard fare, with a hint of pickle juice flavor shining through. Bonus points for them providing a functioning bathroom, complete with hot water, for cleanup in such a rustic setting. The couple who are Circle 4 BBQ are delightful examples of Texas cordiality, so it was fun to meet them. As a testament to the quality level of their fare, while I hung out eating my way through what proved to be just a touch too much food, there was a steady stream of burly guys picking up to-go orders & piling back into their pickups & semi big rigs before pulling back out onto the road. These guys obviously know a smokin' deal for BBQ when it comes their way.“

Smoke Daddies BBQ Food Trucks •
5809 East State Hwy 21, Bryan

“I was searching for food at the Antique Fair and saw a line in front of Smoke Daddies BBQ food truck. The menu looks tempting so I decided to give it a try! I ordered grilled cheese sandwich with briskets and it was soooo good!! It was so yummy that I totally forgot to take pics until I finished half of the sandwich. Definitely one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had from food trucks. The stand was really cute too, with a pig face logo :P Will go again in a few days when I return for the show.“

“I don't know what is up with all of those negative reviews for this place. We ate there today and the food and service were great. Ambience is irrelevant when eating "fall off the bone" meaty pork ribs! It is cafeteria-style service! Brisket and chicken were also great!“
