“Food is excellent and staff is friendly.. I really like this place. The pulled pork isn't soaked in sugar so you can actually taste how flavorful the pork is. The brisket is really good as well, has great bark. Lastly, you've got to get the cobbler.. just do “
“Had to wait a bit for someone to be at the pick up station. She wasn't very happy with me. I went to kitchen door let them know 2 people waiting on orders she was not too pleased at first then she eased up on the attitude. This has never ever happened before. It's always been so easy and friendly. Where did your manager go? He still there? He was always friendly.“
“Let me tell you, I have been coming to this location for over 40 years. And the chopped beef sandwiches are still the same everytime. I love this place. Even though I dont live close anymore, whenever I am near I swing by and grab a bag or 2(or 3, like I did today!) of the sandwiches. Today I brought my mother in law with me and she used to own a bbq restaurant, so she knows bbq. And she was impressed too. So go grab a bag and tell them Fred sent you!“
“Hands down the best greens at any restaurant, and I don't really like greens. I had the baked potato stuffed with chopped brisket. EXCELLENT! The meat tasted like it had been smoked overnight and seasoned perfectly. I will definitely revisit this place. Amazing family atmosphere. They make you feel like you're at home.“
“Brisket was Amazing! Ribeye was tender and juicy and so flavorful! Only downside was the lack of sides were out of lids for side containers so no jalapeño cheese corn or macaroni was available…also 3/4$ for a small side is a little high in my opion but overall was very filling and the atmosphere was great!“
“Folks better put some respect on Roy Hutchins name. Great food, great service, and outstanding atmosphere/ambience. Dining in makes it all worth the trip. Must tries…the Texas Twinkie and the fried okra. Fried okra isn’t overly breaded, and the Texas Twinkie is just divine. Will definitely go back again.“
“My friends and I went to TX for a business trip, 5 of us went to eat here and ohhh yummy yummy. I had the BBQ pulled pork and fries. Hands down the best ever. My friends absolutely loved their meals too. <3 everyone was so friendly. “
“The restaurant is clean and bright with fast, friendly service. The food was delicious. I wish I would have gotten a picture but I was too busy enjoying the meal. I ordered the lean brisket pho and was pleased to see that they offer a kids pho portion. My 5 year old loves pho and this was the perfect serving size. We also ordered the chicken bahn mi. It was super flavorful! Would definitely recommend checking this place out.Kid-friendliness: They offer a kids portion of pho which I’ve never seen at a pho restaurant before.“
“Ribs are amazing! Better than I can make at home. Make sure to get a couple. Jalepeno sausage is also great. Brisket was good and burnt ends (only available on Sat and Mon) could have been hotter (temp wise). Green beans were our preferred side. Very flavorful.“
“We decided we wanted BBQ served at our reception dinner following our wedding and we are so happy we went with Patriotic Pig. They served brisket, sausage, and smoked chicken breast with mac&cheese, burnt-end beans, bacon green beans, bacon ranch potato salad, and coleslaw. All the food was delicious and all the guests were raving about the food.We also had appetizers served during cocktail hour. They served street tacos, brisket and pulled pork sliders, and Texas tater skins, all were a big hit with us and our guests! It was the perfect amount of food to keep our guests happy until dinner was served. We also opted for a dessert bar that featured Uncle Willie's pies which were absolutely delicious. My husband and I had a sampling of the pies for breakfast the day after our wedding and they were absolutely delicious!“
