“Some of the best BBQ brisket I've had in a long time!! Everything was delicious, including the potato salad made from scratch!! Love that is locally owned in Pflugerville, don't have to drive to Austin anymore and wait crazy long lines. Finally, we have some great brisket here !! They provide catering services too, excellent option for gatherings and celebrations!! Excited to see how they expand their menu, food is delicious!! In addition, friendly service, feels like home!!“
“I've only had this delivered so I can't comment on the staff or the inside establishment. What I will say is that this place is good.....DANGEROUSLY good. I got the potatoes with brisket, lemon pepper wings and Mac and cheese. Those lemon pepper wings are the best I've ever had and that potatoe dish is straight fire. Mac and cheese is good, but pretty on par with most restaurants. As good as this place is, I've only ordered once. This place is just too good, I will be ordering from here for special occasions or if I want to treat myself for doing something good or accomplishing something. If I made this a regular thing, I'd end up on that show My 600lb Life. This to me is like fair food, good on special occasions but you can't make a habit out of it (well, you can, but i hope you have a great metabolism). I'll be ordering within the next week because I earned it but then I'll have to wait a while until I deserve it lol. I hear this is a black owned business which makes me love it more, they're doing fantastic work and I hope this place is successful and stays open. If not....they better get a food truck or figure something out because food this good needs to be shared with the world....in moderation?.So happy this establishment is in Pflugerville, go check them out. Your scale may regret it, but your stomach will not! Sooooo good!!!! Also, don't let the prices scare you off, they are generous with those portions! It took me 2 days to finish the potato dish, and I ordered a regular size portion. This is definitely my new "treat myself' spot!!“
“We met the owners. They are super friendly. The food is delicious and while you might think $4+ for tacos are expensive. They are huge and actually too cheap in my opinion for the amount and quality you are getting. Can't wait to come back and see Gilbert and Paul next time I am in town.“
“We tried the three meat plate - price is very reasonable but quality is so so. The brisket is dry - unlike some of the review pictures you have seen. The Bouldin sausage is interesting but not to my taste. Pork rib is actually the best. The spicey bbq sauce is good. So overall, with the price, it is okay but I won't return.Don't recommend the mac & cheese, nothing special about it.“
“The music is always too loud, meaning the patrons have to talk loudly to visit. Next time, I'm bringing ear plugs. I ordered the fried catfish. What I received were 4 pieces of fried, something that was so overcooked that I had to cut with a steak knife.“
“One of my favorite BBQ joints in Austin! The owner and staff are super passionate about BBQ, and the service and atmosphere are incredible as a result. The brisket is some of the best I've had! Will be back next time I'm in Austin for sure!“
“This I our second time coming to this establishment and they were just as amazing as the first time. The atmosphere is amazing and versatile. This is can be a perfect spot for a date, or a business meeting, or even just hanging out with friends. They offer a verity of food. You will see the basics like pork bell all the way to exotic items like octopus. And on top of that, the staff is amazing and super friendly. If I could rate this a 9/5 I would.“
“Everything I’ve had here has beenabsolutely delicious. The waitstaff is friendly for the most part. There is one waitress who needs to work on her people skills but she’s not horrible. Always clean and food is always prepared fresh. Stop reading and go try this place out.“
“* have been apart of APA here for 3 years and have never had a problem... one of the kitchen staff ZZ is a great guy and does greatwith getting the food out as quick as possible... Sydney is a wonderful and kind person who always smiles as she says high and then Maddie and the other waitress are amazing and quick to get your order to you... Love this place...“
“Some of the best BBQ in Texas. Staff is fantastic. Wonderful atmosphere, a restaurant that is also a meat market. They have had one recent change that is not my favorite- They no longer pro ide bread automatical, you must ask for it. Otherwise my favorite BBQ with excellent quality and great menu items.“
“I wanted some authentic Texas BBQ while visiting some friends near Austin, so they took me to this restaurant for dinner. It was fairly busy but the line moved quickly. I ordered a pulled-pork sandwich with a side of new potatoes. Both were very tasty. I probably could have eaten more, but I saved room for some DQ ice-cream on the way home. LOL“
“I love this BBQ restaurant. My favorite cut is the beef rib. They gave me "small rib" and didn't have a lot of meat on it like usual. I didn't pitch a fuss bc it WAS my cheat day ?! Overall, the food was great and service was top notch!“
“Chosun was pretty good. I usually get the dolsot bibimbap, and I haven't been in a while, but the restaurant changed the bowl. It's wider and flatter now, and personally, it was a bit harder to mix everything. Also, my friend ordered the yellow croaker, but it didn't come out until 10-15 minutes after most of our food arrived. By that time, my friend ate most of his rice with his stew, so I deducted a star because of service and the platter change. The servers were great though, and the restaurant was clean and spacious, which is always appreciated!“
“First time trying this local food truck and my family tried several items: beef burrito, chicken tacos and quesadillas. They were all very tasty! The cashier was very friendly and helpful. The outside tables were sheltered and clean. Highly recommend!“
“Had lunch today at DST BBQ. Enjoyed the potato salad especially(since I am not a potato salad guy). Ribs were some of the best I have had after sampling over 50 Central Tx BBQ's. Brisket was tender and had delicious bark as did the ribs. Also tasted collard greens, beans and corn. All were worth going back for on another visit. Rico, I will be seeing you again.“
“LongHorn Steakhouse is a steak lover's paradise! Their steaks are always cooked to perfection – tender, juicy, and full of flavor. Their LongHorn Old Fashioned is the perfect way to unwind after a long day, with its smooth bourbon and sweetness. With plenty of parking options available, dining at LongHorn is a breeze. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or just craving a delicious meal, LongHorn Steakhouse is sure to be a great option!“
“I am a big fan of Chilantro but I always come back to this location the staff is always friendly and the kitchen and bar are always clean. The guys in the front Marelys, Anthony and Carlos are super nice and attentive and the kitchen are always stocking the food.“
“I HIGHLY recommend Ambur Fire! I use to go grab a burger here every Thursday when I lived in round rock. It got to the point where they know my name! The burgers are the best I’ve ever had! Honestly super tasty! The fried pickles are to die for. The service and atmosphere is so welcoming! Wish they had a location/truck in buda! Literally Everytime I’m in town I go grab a burger :) ? I recommend trying the Loaded steak burger!“
“Loved this little random BBQ joint. The building has cool old history. Old dudes chillin in the back room playing cards when we walked in. The bar side has really neat antiques from days of old. Food was solid. Sausage and ribs were my fave. A step back in time with good Q!“
“We ordered Smokey Mo's to feed the Cedar Ridge band several times this season -- it was the biggest hit, by far! Everything about my experience with them was outstanding: ordering, pricing, communication, timeliness, packaging, and most of all TASTINESS! I highly recommend giving this location your catering/large order business -- the band will definitely be back for more Smokey Mo's next season.“
“Joshua and all the staff were excellent. His playlist sets the perfect chill/outdoor kickback vibe. Outdoor seating on a beautiful April afternoon was divine! The crawfish were seasoned with a great balance of kick and flavor. Minus 1 star as they arrived a little dry and cold. To their credit it was late in the day.Banana pudding was decent, pass on the Mac n cheese, sangria will do the job to get you relaxed. Will be back again for the best price/flavor combo of the season considering the poor crawfish season. $10.99 /1# boiled crawfish Sat/Sunday til they run out and $21 for 1.5# with sausage, corn & potatoes. Call ahead to see if they are still in stock?Parking: Less than 5 parking spaces“
“I do not live in the area but every time I visit I make sure to stop by for their BBQ pork. It is amazing! Dinner portions are fair priced and it's always delicious. A direct quote from my 6 yr old is "mommy if you could make food like this I would be so happy and eat all of it." Service is fair and they do get a bit busy. Restaurant itself is pretty simple but with food that good I'm glad that the effort is going there! With that being said everyone we've met is kind but with a busy get it going attitude.Parking: Plenty of parking since it's in a plazaWheelchair accessibility: There was a wheelchair ramp that leads up to the restaurant“
“So if u want a classic small place to have lunch or a party this place has great bbq. The only comment I have is that the sauce is light. I like bold so I always have my own on board. A combination of theirs and mine was exquisite. If you're a bbq fine DO NOT MISS This place.“
“We tried this spot a month ago and were satisfied with their offerings and will gladly go back to visit and enjoy the food again. We were happy with the egg rolls, and the only CON about Elsie's is that they're closed on the weekends!“
“Always very good. I order extra for my dinner later when I pick up my lunch. . That's how good it is. The brisket, burnt ends, pork ribs, and turkey. I can't decide which is my favorite, so I get all of them. I love the cherry cobbler, too. Service is awesome, and plenty of room in the dining room for an intimate table or big party.“
“DDD suggested spot in Austin, so let's go check it out! Monday evening isn't busy, as I walked right up to the order counter. I decided to get a couple Sammies. 1 brisket and 1 McDowell boneless rib. I started with the brisket, and yeah, it's tasty but wished I had a more spicy sauce with it. Next was the rib Sammie. This one was excellent. I wanted to get another one, but I had potato salad and banana pudding already on my plate. Next time I will get a rack of the ribs, skip the side, and definitely the pudding again. SLAB is a sandwich place, but you can get it by the pound also. I'll be coming back here next time I'm in Austin. SLAB BBQ is.....MALOY APPROVED“
“This was my first time here, and it was a great dining experience. The service was very friendly and prompt. The shallot pancake was especially tasty. The vegetables, sides, and meat all arrived, and we were set. We will come again the next time we are in the area.“
“Food was very good! Small soup was vey fillimg and tasty for its size, not "small" compared to other places which serve a cup. The meats were on point and their homemade hosien sauce was delicious. Really wanted to try the duck for what their known for but were out so maybe next time? oh and their combination fried rice was so yummy? cant wait to come back!?“
“Pok-e-Joe’s has been my favorite bbq place since arriving in Austin in 1984. The Parmer location has become my fav pickup location when heading home from north Austin. Very consistent and delicious preparation. We get combo plates: brisket/sausage and brisket/pork ribs last night. Always get pinto beans. Love their fresh broccoli salad. Potato salad is good, but a bit sweet for me. The condiment bar (dill, spicy and deli pickles, red and yellow onions, jalapenos) is wonderful. And don’t forget the Texas toast!!! Seems to be getting a little expensive, but what isn’t. 2 combo plates with 2 sides ea, toast and a pint of broccoli salad with 10% tip was $52. It was a lot of delicious food and can easily feed 3. And they took ApplePay, which really saved me since I forgot my wallet.Parking: Shopping center parking lot. Close in spots may be available, but plenty of spots available just a short walk (40-50ft) away.“
“I ate there for the first time yesterday. Everything was amazing. The brisket was moist, and delicious even without sauce. The sauce had a great balance, and was a good compliment to the brisket. I had fries and green beans with it, both were excellent. The pickled jalapeños were so good I’d buy them by the jar if I could.“
“I live in Manor and from 290 the place always looks closed so I assumed it was and never visited. My daughter loves trying new places and brought home a pork steak for me one day. My goodness!!!! It was better than going to Elgin. I have stopped by twice since then and they were sold out. I won’t give up.“
“My sis found this gem when I was looking to get some BBQ to go. I initially thought it was cash only, but it appears they do take cards. The highlights here is the brisket. Well flavored, moist was definitely on point and decent rub. The cream corn was definitely creamy with whole kernels, the beans are ranch style. The chopped meat is also satisfying. The weakest point was sausage, which I believe was just store bought, so I would opt for other options. They were out of potato salad since we arrived on the last hour. I would definitely come back for the brisket again.“
