If you want a tip, provide enough service to earn it.Asking people to tip is the most stupidest thing you can do.If someone did not tip, look back and think about why that person did not tip instead of begging and insisting for the customer who is already unhappy to tip you.Delivering the food + water is just a minimum.

Was my first time eating at the Yin Tang hotpot place. The service was great and the experience was really neat for being a first timer! You will wait to be seated, you’ll indicate how many are in your party, then you’ll go to the food selection place, grab a large clear bowl and get the food you like. The pound (lb) cost is $13.99. You’ll grab the food selection, go to the cash register, be charged the bowl weight, and then you’ll tell them what flavor of broth you want (spicy level, or tomato, or some other flavor (flavors are on the left side of the cash register)). Then you’ll wait in your seat, and they’ll bring you your hotpot bowl with food already cooked and hot!! The hotpot is individual it’s not your traditional hotpot where you boil your food as you eat.The waitress was really kind and refilled our waters and asked from time to time if we needed anything. Will definitely go back!

Worse noodle place..... they throw everything into the pot at the same time and cook for you. Most ingredients are totally OVERCOOKED. My bowl of noodle is $26 and it's a ripoff.I can make better noodle at home than coming to this restaurant.PLEASE DON'T WASTE MONEY HERE.

What makes Yin Tang different from other hot pot places are the personalized hot pots and it’s served cooked! You get to choose the vegetables, protein, broth, and spice level and pay by the pound. As of January 2024, it is $13.99/lb. I've also been to the Carrollton location and it's $14.99/lb over there. The broth is absolutely flavorful and delicious! I get the medium spicy and it’s not that spicy, it does numb your mouth a little bit. If you're looking for some extra heat, then the large or super spicy will work better! The service is amazing and the staff is always coming up to check on me! I definitely recommend this place if you're looking for a lowkey hot pot spot and like to eat alone! DFW doesn't have that many personal hot pot places where they serve it cooked for you! The only other places I know of is all the way in Frisco — that's just too far for me, and Pixiu Malahong Tang — their selection isn’t as extensive and they’re a bit pricier.

Absolutely not worth it. Food was not good at all and this place has the worst service. The lady working here will basically harass you for more tip. Please save yourself and avoid this place at all costs. My family had such a bad experience!!

Omg awful food here. Do not come and waste your money. They overcharge. $4 for small bottle drink $3 for can of coke. Food came out to be $75 for two bowls. I wasnt satisfied with the food so I didnt want to tip and the lady takes a look at my receipt and Im about to leave and she comes and stops me and says please tip. I said I wasnt satisifed and she says they live for this when theyre charging $75 for two bowls of basically noodles. She kept begging me and I was so infuriated. I tipped them a little and ran out before she would come run and grab me. Theyre so unprofessional. I have never experienced anywhere else. Instead go to the Carrollton PIXIU MALA HONGTANG which tastes soooo much better. Never coming back here.

The big size lady working there is really mean. For sure won’t go back again. They only allow 5 small sauces for to go. She forcefully threw one of mine cause I had 6. I don’t understand why. Will she tell people dining in that they are using too much sauce and starting throwing away whatever they have on the table?!

This place's hot pot is amazing! The staff is incredibly friendly. I come here with friends or even by myself because it's so delicious. The hot pot is addictively good. If you enjoy green onion and garlic, try making a sauce with sesame sauce, green onion, and garlic – it enhances the flavors even more!!

The overall dining experience was great. Tasted good, the servers asked questions and were pretty quick. The only reason im giving one star was because we were short on money and couldn't tip this time but the server rudely questioned us why there was no tip and we were basically forced to tip them. I couldn't even look in their direction after because it felt so awkward and unwelcoming after they did that.

Best Malatang in DFW! We’ve been going here since March 2022, and have always had a warm and welcoming experience. Alice and Tony greet us with positive energy and big smiles, they treat us like family! Highly recommend this place for hot pot lovers.

I went here with my friends last year and the experience was great, so I came back to the store because I wanted to eat Malatang again since it's one of my favorite foods and it was cold weather as well. However, today's experience was VERY TERRIBLE.Food was ok, but when we're done eating, the waitress lady came and checked our tips and almost yelled at us saying how could we only pay for this much tips to them. I understand that workers can feel bad about getting a few tips as a person who also work in restaurant, but it's not right to go to customer showing your madness and making customers to pay for more tips because although we want to pay for more tips, sometimes we can't afford it right now especially when food itself is so expensive too... After I paid for more tips, the other worker took my check, and he showed it to that lady earlier talking something about it "in front of the counter where we can definitely see them discussing about us" and I think she was still mad for changed tips. I think all servers here are just very rude.My honest thought about most asian restaurants and this restaurant is that giving more than 15% tips is too much for me since it's mostly self-service anyway. Does workers actually think they can get a lot of tips when they don't even really do actual "service"? And this was my first experience ever having forced to tip, is that because they're Chinese? I really wonder why lots of Chinese try to disgrace their own nation... making other people to hate themI went here with my boyfriend and got so embarrassed and felt sorry for bringing him here, making him have this experience together. Although I paid for everything, I was still sorry. We went to meet fresh next door after then I cried so much about this.Because of that lady forcing me, I paid a little bit more tip, but I don't think I will ever go back to this store.JUST GO TO THE ONE IN CARROLLTON, PLEASE, same company, but people there are way much nicer there. In additionally, we were just asian couples, but when we were ordering food, she started talking in chinese before we even speak anything LOL
