“Had a blast on our first visit to Bernhardt Winery. It's located right outside of Plantersville and a very nice and quiet escape from the hustle of city life. Get away and order a flight of wines and you'll find the one that's right to your palate. Don't be surprised if you leave there with several bottles for the house. “The cleanest I've ever seen this place. Now serving liquor and there's amazing pizzas. The burgers are great too. Have yet to try other food, the pizza so amazing I always go to that lol. It's so big too. The dancehall is actually a dancehall again. Tons of space to boot scoot and boogie or post up around it and watch. Not your scene....stay in the front bar and play pool and your own music in the jukebox. Absolutely love the old jukebox is still in the dancehall AND WORKS. Henrys lives to make many more memories!!! ?”

“Came here as a group of 30 vet tech students with our professors on our way back to class from a field visit. It seemed like it would take awhile to order given the number of us but the line flew by quickly. The food came out within a reasonable amount of time, given the amount that was ordered and it was all hot and fresh! Their burgers are AMAZING, like seriously I'm considering making the 45-minute drive with my husband so he can try them cause the house sauce they put on it was so good!! I tried their Snickerdoodle cookie and it was very good and fresh as well. Highly recommend it if you're in the area.”

“In my personal opinion, I have lived right outside of Magnolia for over 15 years. The competitors to this place have gone completely downhill, by overcharging for less quality meat. Birrias has brought back my joy for Mexican food. The staff here is great, quality of the food, great and the atmosphere is exactly what you would expect.Of course inflation is a thing, and it is going to go up everywhere. If you want good quality food, pay the price. I suggest anything with birrias in it!”

“It was my 1st time there today. The service was good and consistent. The food was good, I had the fish and shrimp special and will try the fish and oysters next time. The atmosphere has that old southern charm you don't see too much of anymore. You know what home or grandparents place used to be like. “Used to be a frequent flyer but the place was closed every time I tried to go by so I went elsewhere. I believe their hours updated, so finally was able to return recently. Got a burger and must say it was probably the best burger I've had in town! “Great little Chinese stop. YES, this is a Mom and Pop restaurant. Food is GREAT, Service is Friendly and Quick. They go out of their way to make you happy. This is not a fancy restaurant. It is always clean and bright. Prices are great considering EVERYTHING has gone up. I love the orange chicken.”

“Thoughts from a many year patron. Opening cheese plates were amazing and delicious as always. The salad was under dressed, boring, and flavorless. The soup is where things start to go sideways for us. It was introduced as a lobster bisque, this is a stretch for me as it was obviously a potato based soup with some lobster chunks in it. Although tasty, it is misleading billing this as a bisque. Next is the sausage.....dry and over seasoned with thyme to the point that it was inedible. Next was the pork, it was ok, but again, over cooked and plain. The next offering strait up made me angry. Serving 1/8" thick slices of top sir loin and billing it as beef tenderloin is a travesty and should be a crime. That is a flat out lie about what you are being served. It was cooked well and tasted good so I was able to get full on it after a few servings. The chicken literally had no seasoning at all, not even salt or pepper. It was cooked well and not too dry, but I was shocked that it was not even salted. The last straw for me was the prime rib, overcooked and dry to the point that it also was inedible. I'm not sure if there is anyone checking and maintaining the food standards, but if there is, that person is in the wrong position. I have had a better dining experience at Golden Corral than what was brought to us Sunday at 11am. As a past kings feast, 8 years straight, and founders club patron, 2019, the food standards were nowhere near what my many past experiences were. This is not a staffing shortage issue, a food shortage issue, or any other outside influence affecting these issues, they are plain and simple lazyness and cost cutting that is coming from within the kitchen, and a lack of someone caring about the quality of the product. I would have rather had less food brought out at a higher quality, than the hoards of overcooked, plain, and tasteless platters that were offered this year.”

“I took a small group of bikers in for lunch last weekend and was surprised at the attention we received. The food was great, the porch was perfect and the service was awesome! If you ride these people understand your needs. Our leftovers were boxed and wrapped so they wouldn't spill in our bikes. We will be back!”

“The festival in itself is a lot of fun, costumes are great, there are a lot of shows and entertainment. What was not amusing was the elaborate animal abuse. Horses, ponies, elephants and llamas. There is no ethical way to get an elephant to accept a human on its back. It was depressing. The festival does not need animals for entertainment, there's plenty to see as is.”
