“Love the Rose! The people are great, the bartenders are the best, and they have some really good food! Smoking is allowed indoors, which can be offputting to some but is a welcoming sight among other bars when it's extremely hot or cold outside. I highly recommend visiting this place. Kevin is the best bartender!Kid-friendliness: Kids are not welcome at this location in the rose garden or inside. This is a bar, patrons must be 21 or older.Parking: Parking is allowed in the gravel parking lot or along Yeager street.“

“First time at splits! It is a quaint more laid back bar to go see your favorite team play on the screen. We ordered a few different things to try them out. All was very good! Queso was yummy! The bar tenders were always on top of things and very attentive.“

“By far one of the best experiences I’ve had at a restaurant in a long time. The owners Matt and Josh are amazing guys. Rarely do you see owners this passionate about their business. First time there a few weeks ago. When me and my wife got there Matt asked us what we wanted to drink while we were waiting. Never in my life have I had an owner offer that before. And I’ve been all over the world. Great experience, quality of food was good, and the energy was great. We left there elevated. And this place is right in my back yard. I would give 20 stars if there were an option.“

“Had been really hankering for a chicken fried steak so I stopped in. Portions were huge and the food was great. John was awesome and made sure I had everything I needed. If you haven't been inside since the restaurant opened, I highly recommend it!“

“Great hang out spot with a good value happy hour. The French fries and wings are fantastic but we have tried other things that were not good (queso & fried pickles were a let down). I would say if you are going to order food, stick with the staple bar food like fries, wings, and burgers. Can't go wrong!“

“Amazing place to visit after a long day at work. Came to the Plano area on a business trip and had to check out the downtown area. “We sat at the bar. Nice atmosphere and plenty of TV's throughout. There is a large dining area, and the restaurant was pretty clean. The bartender was attentive, and the food came out pretty quickly.The sliders and tacos were pretty good. The queso could have been much better. “This place is amazing for what it is. What makes it even just a bit better than most is you can smoke inside and the food is actually good. I have been in quite a few times and have never had an issue with anything. This time only a small problem with the cigarette machine and bartender was not sure what to do but notified the owner and problem solved. All the bad reviews they get is people expecting more than what it is. The end of the day people its a bar just remember that“

“It's not fancy but I didn't want fancy. I wanted a spot where I could sit quietly with a beer and my laptop. I found that at The Royal Pour, sitting in the back room for about an hour, sipping my lager and pounding away at some emails. A power outlet and wifi, I stayed until some guys arrived and started shooting pool loudly. That was sort of my signal to move on. Beer was cheap, the bar is nice, the bartender was nice too. “It was all good. I got the blackened catfish. I like that they seasoned the vegetables. The coleslaw was also good. I ordered a glass of wine while I waited. Normally the wine at a beer place is horrible. But it was also good. I will return.“

“Being the only country dance hall in the area, this place has a lot of potential to grow if they wanted to.Very traditional/old style of place. When there's a DJ, he plays almost an hour straight of slow country songs that couples are dancing to. Then he'll play maybe 2 line dances or hip hop songs, then go back to the almost hour of slow country.. and repeat. Pretty boring for someone who is there by themselves to join group line dances.Even when a bunch of people get on the floor for a fun, modern line dance, he still only plays a couple of them. He should mix them evenly....a few slow country songs then a few popular line dancing songs, etc.Older crowd (50+). No website. No cover when a DJ is playing. Half price cover before 8pm. (check their FB for info).Old bar system where the bartender keeps your card... Which wastes time when you want to close out and she has to look through a large stack of cards to find yours.Food is simple, but good. Really yummy pizzas and friendly staff.“
