“This restaurant is hiding in a gas station, only open for lunch on weekdays, and has some of the best food you'll eat anywhere. For example, on Fridays they do a Fried Catfish plate (pic included.) I've ordered it a number of times, and it's the best catfish in central Texas. The hamburgers too are as good as it gets in Central Texas. Every menu item seems to be made with an old timey approach to diner food - where it's fast, tasty, inexpensive, and filling. I drive more than 25 miles one way to eat here, and do so about 6 times a year (would be more if they were open on Saturdays). The staff is friendly, too. Love love LOVE this place.“
“Our family had a wonderful dine in experience with Freddy’s. We are a family of 6 and were able to eat for under $80. We ordered six entrées, four ice creams, and a milkshake. The fries are extra thin and crispy, ice cream menu has a wide variety of toppings, milkshakes come with a wide with straw. The overall food presentation was well put together. The burgers weren’t greasy or sloppy and tasted great. The staff are very helpful and friendly especially if it’s her first time eating in the establishment. Freddy’s has become our new Family favorite and we will definitely be back! Thank you!Kid-friendliness: The kids absolutely loved being able to eat ice cream with gummy worms and brownies. The high chairs are clean. The staff came around to ask about how our food tasted and talked with the kids a little. “We haven't had good luck over our stay in the area with the first few places we went to but this place really picked it up for us great service we got sat right away the waitress was amazing very friendly attentive got us everything that we needed the food literally came out so fast and it was super tasty this place is definitely a Hidden Gem for sure.“
