Discover where to enjoy delicious Mexican dishes in Salado.
“Quick stop for hot tacos. This is a food truck in the parking lot of a self service car wash. Everything was fresh and homemade. The tortillas were fantastic! Went on a Saturday morning and it wasn't busy. Worth the short drive off of I-35.“
“Our server, Juan, was on point! We went in after a day hike and had a meal and a couple of beers.I had the flautas de Pollo and they were delicious. All the food was delicious. The service is fast, accurate and super attentive.Tried the barria, thanks to our server, Juan, bringing out a taste. Can't wait to go back and try more dishes, but I'll be starting with the barria.Expect to sign a membership card if you're ordering alcoholic beverages and aren't with a member.“
“We have driven past this taco truck a billion times and live around the corner. Finally today we stopped by and will ABSOLUTELY be back. Tacos were fantastic. Best tortas we've had locally, and their spice level hits just right . Service was great, lady who took our order was super sweet! Ample parking, plenty of seating. 10/10 wish we took pics but we devoured our food--it was finger licking good!“
“The food was ok but a bit too salty. I have high standards for Mexican food in the Austin area so I would probably only come back to try their tamales, but I wouldn’t go for the plates/dishes since there are so many great options around. The staff is kind and helpful even though they were really busy getting out orders for the holidays.“
“A real hidden gem, I feel like. The different types of Avo toast and smoothies are incrediable, and the vibe is relaxing and upbeat. They actually open at 7 am daily, so it already beats half the Killeen "Cafes"Vegetarian options: This Cafe caters to Vegetarians and Vegans with great Avo Toast selections.“
“I went here for lunch in the middle of the week by myself. I wasn't expecting the same vibes I would be looking for if I was able to relax and experience the place. Food was good! Definitely a neighborhood, walk to, type place, I'd like that vibe if I lived around there looking for Mexican food and a margarita!“
“I never leave reviews but my wife asks for street tacos at least a couple times a month and they never fail to satisfy us. The tortillas are great, the meat tender and juicy, the vegetables are fresh, what more could I ask for!! Sure it’s outside a family dollar and the truck looks a little rough but that’s how you know it’s ACTUALLY GOOD. Love supporting these guysParking: It’s a dirt lot but you could park in front of family dollar if you’re picky.“
“This place looks like a run down shack. Their parking lot is poorly designed and way too tight. Don't let any of this fool you. The food here is amazing, the people that staff it are lovely, and prices are as close to reasonable as you get today. Give them your business. Breakfast burritos are absolutely “
“I see why this place has a pretty high rating; we had a selection of tacos and a torta and all were delicious and made to order, and server at window was friendly. However, be aware that it’s walk-up service with a couple of picnic tables out front, and looks kind of deserted.“
“Been here twice, and both times, I was blown away. Like I immediately wanted to go back and get some more. From the Tortas to the tacos to the enchiladas, to the rice and beans! I haven't had anything that wasn’t good! This is definitely the go to spot if you want some bomb Mexican food ??????“
“I first ate here when I was young, probably 20 years ago, and even tho I live in a Alabama now I have went out of my way to go thru Belton again just for Ernie's! It hasn't changed at all! I even brought my husband twice and he loved it!! This really is some of the best fried chicken I've had. I hope this place never changes and I can't wait to come back.“
“People were so sweet. Hand great selection of both Mexican food and Colombian food. If you want to try some yummy Colombian food come here plus the bakery has tons of sweet bread to choose from. They also have Christmas dishes for catering. A must place to try if your the temple area.“
“My kids and I love the food here. We stop and get breakfast every morning before school, now school is out and we are there every other week. There breakfast burritos are amazing and always full! Haha we love them. If you ever find yourself near them stop and grab a bite to eat! You want regret it!!!“
“Found this little food truck as we stopped to get our kids some food nearby on a road trip. We had potato and egg breakfast tacos and bistek tacos. They did not disappoint! Flavorful and seasoned well. Stopped again on the way back home. The service is great and located close to freeway. They have parking right in front so we ate in car but they also have a few tables with shade available. Def recommend!“
“The food is pretty dang good. The establishment is a little worn but they do their best to try and make it comfortable for their guests. Their drinks can sometimes be a little weak on the alcohol but still tasty. Service is usually spot on.“
“Little hole in the wall spot attached to 711 but the food is quick and amazing. People there are so friendly. Seriously choose this spot over 95% of the Mexican food here in the area. Quick grab and go style but they have a little set up for sit down if you need.“
“I recently dined at this Mexican restaurant and overall had a great experience. The atmosphere was lively and festive, with colorful decor and upbeat music playing in the background. The service was friendly and efficient, with our server providing helpful recommendations on the menu. The food was delicious and authentic, with each dish bursting with flavor. I particularly enjoyed the carne asada tacos and the freshly made guacamole. The portion sizes were generous and the prices were reasonable. The only reason I didn't give this restaurant a 5 star rating is because the wait time for a table was longer than expected, but once we were seated, the experience was wonderful. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for tasty Mexican cuisine in a fun and vibrant setting.“
“This now my favorite place to eat definitely wanna try out different things on the menu, I went in during closing hour so I got some tacos and a burrito to go for tomorrow while on my travels...nice place the ppl here are really cool, their habanero sauce is spicy but it's flavorful so it makes you keep eating, it I also took some of that to go it's not just hot/spicy, maybe just me but I liked it anyway, I'll Be Back“
“So happy Lyla and I found this place. This was our first trip with the furbaby and couldn't locate a restaurant we could eat with her (our stay had ended - therefore she was dragged with us). They where so nice and accommodated so we could order and get our meal to go. They even let us sit in the patio!Lyla and I thank you for your hospitality.I had the nachos Supreme. I had to take half home cause they were so well served.I'd like to ask if they would consider making menudo for Sundays menu. The atmosphere was great. We were overlooking the creek and had live music. It was a great ending for a long weekend away from home.“
“I usually am completely satisfied with this place (always excited to order my huge chicken fajita burrito for $7) but last Saturday they got my order completely wrong and the chicken was dry and way less than I wanted. There was a language barrier which is what I believe caused them to get the order wrong.“
“Had the bacon, egg, and bean tacos in homemade tortillas. The flavor was mouth bursting, just delicious with their unique salsa. The only down is that this place accepts cash only, and it is a “pick to go place”, the atmosphere is outdoors with only on picnic table.“
