A friend at work recommended I visit Los Gallos Bakery and that turned out to be great advice! The good people at Los Gallos were happy to help me select a nice variety of Mexican holiday pastries and treats. The price for the number of items I picked out was more than fair - and the baked goods were the hit of the dinner! I highly recommend Los Gallos Bakery as THE place to go for fresh, delicious baked goods!“

“Today was the first time my family tried this place. First, I must say the owners are very nice, very polite, and respectful. Now, to get to the food. I had the menudo, and the flavor was amazing. Taste and texture were good, no disappointment there, the tripas gorditas they were amazing, and the Asada tacos taste so good, the chile verde chilaquiles were awsome i loved the sauce they used as it wasnt too spicy but had a kick to them. All their food is freshly made and has authentic flavors similar to what we're used to. I also ordered horchata and it was amazing. I won't lie we actually went twice today and the second time I also ordered the quesabirria and it was amazing flavors and texture were great all the food was freshly made and amazing we'll definitely be going back to try more items on their menu. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone.“

“My daughter is autistic and struggles with certain foods. We went for a party which has a limited menu and I asked if we could just take sauce off the enchiladas and then Simon the owner came over and said he wanted her to be happy and to eat so she could get whatever she wanted he would make sure she was accommodated. And when we left he was so nice to make sure she enjoyed and to say goodbye to her and made her feel so special. Would highly recommend them. Never had a restraunt be so nice and understanding of my duaghter so she could still eat and enjoy the party.“

“Wanted to come here and try the breakfast tacos. There is plenty of parking here and very easy to locate. I was quickly served and got some great recommendations. I got the sausage and egg, Machacado, and a guiso and bean. They all tasted great but the guiso and bean was by far the best. The green sauce was the perfect amount of spice and flavor that went well with the tacos.“

My wife took me for breakfast and they have a full menu so she ordered the flautas and for 8am- they were probably the best I’ve had in this city. “I love getting my breakfast burritos in the morning and I've gone to several different burrito places but I hadn't gone to Iliana's. Let me tell you, she has the best ones by Far. All the rest I've eaten are as greasy as they come. It's like they just can't serve them if they don't put all the grease they can on it. Iliana's somehow makes them with as little grease as possible (if any) making it nice to eat a burrito WITHOUT any grease running down your arm or soaking your napkin that holds it or even soaking the bag it comes in, and great taste as well. She has coffee, chips, fresh roasted whole peppers and awesome salsa, along with a dine in area just like the others and better/competitive prices. Why go anywhere else for breakfast or lunch for that matter?? BEST BURRITO PLACE IN TOWN!!“

“We were there for Mom's birthday breakfast at the recommendation of my brother and sister-in-law, both educators with SAISD. The menudo was as good as Moms -- and she gave it 5 stars. the burritos, pork chop plate were also very delicious. Coffee was fresh. “On Thursday August 3rd my 92 year old grandma lost her cane at the restaurant. We were hung up on when we called. Owner was listened to my concerns on how we were treated. But, the male tall waiter, kind of bald, was rude. Even after a very good tip. Shame on you, sir, for such poor manners. If you have my grandma's cane please return.“

“The food here was good. Wasn't anything amazing but not too bad either. The service was pleasant and attentive but the atmosphere feels old. A lot could be done with the place to spruce it up a bit. It doesn't look nearly as good as in the pictures- it's frankly a bit run down looking/feeling.

I will say, I ordered a meal with jalapeños and most places get rid of most spice - I like my meals spicy so that was good they left the heat intact - but be warmed they do not de-seed their jalapeños and I got a very spicy one in my meal. Not expecting it but some may have had a huge issue with that heat. If you order anything with spice be sure to manage it according to your tolerance. Wow it was a scorcher. I can relatively handle heat and it made me sweat and eyes water.“

Its def a choking hazard for young kids and older adults. So I would just recommend cooking the steak in a different way where it’s more tender.“
