Great Burger, stopped by for my Jury Duty Lunch per a recommendation from a buddy, was not disappointed.

I had the opportunity to check out Candy’s Burgers while serving Jury Duty at the courthouse, and boy was lunch on point! Right across the street, easy little stroll to get there and the service was excellent and fast. Even though the spot is small and the number of people visiting on their lunch hour, they crank out their food fast. Everything was hot and fresh, tarter tots were crispy, burger was delicious! Would highly recommend checking out if you’re in the area!

Service was excellent. Food was amazing. Prices that are tough to beat. Highly recommended

Without a doubt, this best hamburger I have ever had! Seriously. The only complaint I have is that I only found this place on my last day in San Antonio. The place is tiny and old and has a hole-in-the-wall feel to it. But the young woman at the counter was very nice, my food came quickly (it was about 2:30 PM), and best of all, the guy at the grill was a freaking genus! I got a mushroom Swiss burger with added fried onions, and fries for my side. Fantastic! I seriously am unhappy that I won't get to go back there. If you are ever are in downtown San Antonio and want the best hamburger of your life, this is the place!

So worth the wait. We got an old fashioned cheese burger and the ham and cheese sandwich. We started to walk out but they convinced us to try it. So glad they did. We will go again.

If you go there for a lunch special, you're getting your money's worth. It's not a huge commercial joint. It's quaint and gets the job done with exceptional small-feel customer service. Give it a shot. Try the burgers and the catfish w/shrimp.

Burger was awesome served hot and fast ordered onion rings picked one up immediately smelled the fish. I got 1 staff members attention she looked right at me and walked to the back being I'm a wheelchair and sitting in the rear right side it is rather difficult to maneuver in this small space. Another young lady started cleaning the table beside ours I asked her if the onions rings were cooked in with the fish as I am allergic to fish and she came back said yes and took my plate. I am still sitting in the back corner. They have not offered a replacement of something for the rings nor any monies back for them. Customers Be very cautious if you have any type of allergy.as I said Burger was great. CUSTOMER Relations leaves alot to be Desired. At least I didn't make a scene In their full house I could have taken a bite and waited for an ambulance and sued there is no warning posted anywhere about allergens.Wheelchair accessibility: Very tight fit see photos

Been here time to time over the years the food is really good it's a good establishment it's a hidden place/gem with the price!
Let me tell you. This little hidden gem is an authentic burger and seafood joint! We were recommended to try it out during our work visit to the area. My coworkers opted for the yummy burgers but today I felt like I had to give the catfish sandwich a try. It did not disappoint! The catfish was well breaded and fried with two big pieces of fish and thick cut slices of fresh tomato's and lettuce. I dipped my sandwich into the yummy gravy and wow..sooo good!! You know everything is good when everyone in the table shuts the hell up the onion rings were sooo crispy, big and very well seasoned. I really didn't want to make this review because I know a lot more people are gonna flood this small spot - but I gotta share the go to's in this area. Let me not forget how kind, welcoming and nice the crew is here! Come check it out

Not your typical burger spot! I love the old school vibe this place has! This is some of the best food in the downtown area! Not very big so I don't suggest having a large group of people.Burgers aren't the only thing on the menu! They have something tasty and delicious for everyone! The chicken fried steak is one of my favorites, along with their amazing onion rings!Must try!
I never usually leave a yelp review but this place was so good I just had to hype it up. It was one of the closest places to my hotel and walked on in to see it was busy. Even so, my food was brought to me so quickly! I ordered the Roy "L" Burger and it was perfect! Not super greasy, flavorful, and reasonably priced. The staff were so friendly and nice and the location although small is nice for a mid-morning to mid-day meal. 100% will come back next time I'm in San Antonio.
Small place. Big taste!Check out my BLT!!!
