We have no idea why this place has such great reviews. The food is not good, the joint was desolate and the service was not just bad, but it was insulting as well. Please keep in mind that this review is coming from folks that have been in the restaurant industry for 20+ years. These folks don't know what it is to serve people. The question was asked of how are the tortillas on their tacos, and the response that was received was "eh, there from the package." So I decided to go with their biscuit sandwich instead. It came out cold. The cheese wasn't even fully melted on it. The biscuit was hard and very dry. My wife ordered the tacos. She ordered bacon and egg tacos but the bacon that was used was the prepackaged fully cooked bacon. They also were not good. The tortillas were doughy and not appetizing. We also got a blueberry muffin that was hard, dry, and obviously old.I brought the biscuit up to their attention and asked for my money back. They said no to that request. I then brought up the muffin and the response I got was very surprising to say the least. She told me that they asked if we wanted the muffin warmed up and we were the ones that said no, and that's why it was hard and dry. I laughed and said "wow, really?" My family and I got our stuff and we left.We came here cause of the reviews and it seemed quick but things couldn't be so far from the truth . Save yourself some time/headaches and avoid this place.Readers of Google.....Don't believe these lies. We most certainly did not finish 95% of the food. And we only asked for a refund for the biscuit not the entire check. We ended up leaving before we had the chance to be rude. At the end of the day, proof is in the pudding, try them and see for yourself.

Came here while visiting San Antonio and wanted to support local businesses. It’s a bit hidden but the coffee and the service was great. The owner was making her St.Patty’s day special and gave it to me as soon as i expressed interest.Businesses like these should always be supported to keep the culture of the city going! Will be back the next time I’m in town again.

The owner was nice and gave everyone great recommendations. The little Cafe has an odd sports bar vibe, it's very much a man's space. It could maybe use a woman's touch. Especially in the women's restroom. The coffee is good, which is really all that matters. I was dying for coffee and it was the only place nearby that was listed as having coffee after 4pm on Saturday.Parking: There is some free street parking in front of the cafe, after those fill up its a little hard to get decent parking.

I ordered a chai latte that was amazing. The tacos were not great. A bit undercooked chorizo and the tortilla felt doughy.Service was friendly but a little

Extremely disappointed in my Chicos experience. I was looking forward to it after reading reviews, and it definitely was not good. They were out of half of the menu including anything decaf and half of the food options. I went w two bagels and cream cheese which took over 20 minutes to be handed to me, it should not take that long for a bagel and the worker only started to work on them after I asked her where they are after the twenty minutes. Bagels were stale and we were given a chunk of cream cheese just in a coffee cup. I ordered a hot coffee which was cold. I would not recommend this place. 2 bagels and 2 coffees for over $20.

Everything is fresh and delicious! The staff was incredibly helpful. I had a jalapeño bagel with cream cheese and my husband had the McChico egg and cheese Biscuit. The biscuit and bagel tasted fresh out of the oven. Also the Chocolate Truffle latte was delicious! Would definitely go back there for breakfast again!

A fabulous cafe in San Antonio. One of the best coffees you will have . They have a wonderful and wide variety of coffee options and teas . From Latin America to other areas . Tastes great ? you should check it out. They also have fantastic breakfast Sandwiches and bagels , not your average breakfast food at all . The bagels are great and so are the avocado toast and cheese sandwiches.Service is great and they are very friendly.
