Gus's was recommended by a SA local. It was a hit with our group. Fried chicken was the best we've ever had. I was a little concerned it was going to be too spicy, but it wasn't at all. Just crispy, flavorful and juicy fried chicken.All the sides we tried were great, baked beans, Mac and cheese, fries, slaw.Parking: Street Parking was available when we were there. There was also a paid lot that they would have validated our parking

Over cooked everything (thru delivery). Burnt chicken, burnt fried okra. Asked for unsweet tea (NO ICE) (written in caps on the delivery order) and it was full of ice. Disappointed!

Having visited 3 different locations in different states, it remains my favorite! I love the wings, greens, potato salad (to die for), the beans are so good! The fried okra is a favorite.
Heard about this place from our airbnb. So glad we came here! Hands down, best fried chicken we've ever had! Chicken is always made fresh, never frozen. Sides were amazing. Best Mac and cheese we've had in a restaurant! Great selection of beers. Loved the casual atmosphere with the crystal chandelier in the middle of the dining room! Definitely a must try!

The chicken was actually very good. The skin was crispy and it had a good flavor. We were worried that it might be too spicy but it was just right. The fried green tomatoes were another hit as well as the pickles. Also do get the mac/cheese another hit. We all thought they were creamy and cheesy. The only downside was the potato salad nobody at our table liked them. Will definitely come again.

Listen Here, and listen good! This fried chicken is CRAZYYYY GOOD! We ordered a 16 piece and we left with three pieces…it was four of us and I was the only guy at the table, needless to say I was to blame. We had the fried green tomatoes, mac and cheese, fries and baked beans and all were good. The chicken had nice tingle of spice to it which made it all better. A kiddo might object, maybe! Wish I would have had some hops to wash it down, next time. 10/10 for all of us. A definite must!
