We have been there multiple times and have had a bad experience, nonetheless we give it another shot expecting our experience will change but it hasn’t. We were there 03/23/24 to celebrate a friends birthday. Being a high end and well known steak house I’d expect them to know how to cook a steak, nevertheless two members of the party myself included had to send back our steak. I speak for mine, it was OVER cooked to well done!! They bring it back under cooked and the waiter asks “ can you please cut into it” shining a flash light at my plate he should know that what I was cutting into was not what I ordered! I kept my mouth shut because I was overly disappointed and upset. I wasn’t going to argue while I was there for my friends birthday celebration but the waiter should have picked up instantly that just as I cut into my steak instantly moved my plate to the side. We paid over 500.00 that evening for two people and for them to completely mess up my steak not once but twice is ridiculous. Moving on to my husband, he ordered king crab legs asked for pricing and also asked the waiter if the half order would be a good portion. The waiter said the half order was 75.00 but didn’t think it would be filling so my husband ordered the full order. When we got our check he paid 225.00 for a full order!?!? How do you go from 75 to 225 and let me tell you they weren’t that great!! Again we didn’t argue we paid the check since we were there for a party and didn’t want to argue. The service was terrible I had to ask for more water, he just never cared to refill glasses he also NEVER asked me if I cared for another cocktail, AND also messed up tickets. We where there for 4 hours due to service being so slow and steaks being messed up; horrible on so many levels! We have had issues in the past with our steak, we didn’t complain or left a bad review, we didn’t even send our steak back we just thought it was a busy night for them, but having this happen over and over is not ok specially since it’s not a cheap tab! My husband has done bourbon tastings at Kirby’s and quit going since he said they were getting too crowded with no where to sit and simply not enjoyable anymore. Kirby do better!!

Food great. Server great. Always so accommodating to our anniversary. Too loud. Booths not comfortable for shorter people, also sink in the middle.

Always have a good experience at Kirby's, the staff, waiters, totally fit the bill of a Restaurant with genuine class, overall great mood/ambiance, food was excellent, just really a good experience!

Food and service were both great. Tabatha did a superb job. It was our 55th anniversary and it was acknowledged by a glass of champagne prior to the meal as well as dessert. The manager was very helpful with the eclub activity. Will definitely return in near future

Service was real slow. My salad was so plain at one slice of tomato  my expectations was a lot higher than what we received we couldn't get refills on our drinks. We didn't get our tea until our meal came I wouldn't recommend this place at all

Nothing beats Kirby’s. It’s by far my favorite steakhouse in San Antonio. The quality of food and service is always top notch. It’s ideal size which keeps the atmosphere intimate and you can actually enjoy a conversation without music blaring the entire meal.

Attended an event here. The sides were better than the meat which wasn't bad just not the star of the dish. Steak needed more seasoning. Bruschetta was a little weird. Nice space for small event and separate from main dinning which felt more private. Staff were super attentive and friendly.

Waiter overwhelmed with so many tables, restaurant was packed, we did not receive good service. Food delivered cold, desserts forgotten, coffee served cold. French onion soup was soggy and room temp, dressing for salads forgotten, took 40 mins to get our cheesecakes. We were brought meals not ours & so much more. Charged for everything returned; French onion soup, coffee & salads. So sad, this use to be the best steakhouse in town. Quantity is not quality Kirby's.

Steak was amazing and actually cooked to the right temperature. The waiter was did a good of checking up on us and seeing if we needed anything. Only gripe was to the me the sides were kinda small but tasted really good though.

I've been to the restaurant part numerous times and enjoyed it. Emoni, as always, was a great waitress. We ate and drank in the bar for the first time and it was very loud. We'll come back to the restaurant but not the bar. It was hard to converse without yelling. Love your food and wine!

Food was not up to par for the price. Steak was rare and chewy when asked to be cooked medium. No seasoning on food and it was bland. The lobster bisque was fantastic though! The drinks were waay too strong and had no blend or smoothness to the taste.

Dinner was on Valentine Day. the Hostess sat us at a table near the kitchen when the restaurant was only 1/3 full. When we requested a different table, the hostess sat us one table from our previous position. Not a good hostess when there were a significant a number of tables available in the venue.

I would like to provide feedback of our experience at Kirby's last night,13 Feb 2024. If you look back in your system you will notice we have been coming to your restaurant for about 10 years to celebrate our anniversary. You will also notice there was one year we skipped as someone recommended another steak house...you can see we came back to Kirby's. We made reservations through open table for 13 February at 6:30pm and here are the requested details Your details Occasion Anniversary Special request Would like a booth We got there about 6:30pm and was seated in a booth as requested. Here are my issues/complaints: 1. No mention of Happy Anniversary by the Hostess like in the past and yes when I made our reservations I did mention it was our anniversary. 2. Waitress just put a tablet on the table and left...no mention as to what it was for. Since we had been there before we knew what it was and reviewed it. 3. Waitress stopped by our table with a hand/arm full of dirty dishes from another table to take our appetizer order...really...I would expect that at Ihop not a fine dinning restaurant. 4. In the past our ice tea glasses never got below 1/2 full before they were refilled. Not so this time...it became empty before they were refilled. 5. She never came back to make sure my steak was cooked correctly...she did stop by about half way through the meal to check on us. When she did stop by she was always in a rush to get an answer and move on. 6. She made us feel rushed to pay and leave so she could use the table again. 7. Again from our waitress no mention of our anniversary or even an offer of an anniversary dessert like in the past. We did hear other wait staff mention Anniversary greeting to a table next to ours. 8. Our waitress was not up to the standards we have grown accustom to. Food was outstanding as usual and no issues there at all. It was just the service from our waitress.

I forgot my waiters name but he was sweet and very attentive. Also gave good recommendations. Everything was great, would go again.
