I visited Wednesday 4/17/24, The food here is overpriced, underserved,& small as child plates. The Sangria is Garbage ?️ ‼️Sangria is supposed to have large pieces of fresh variety of fruit. The Pitcher of Sangria didn’t even come w/fruit, just a bunch of ice‼️We were given 7 pieces of micro chopped, canned mangos in our glass that were so small it was slipping through our straw. Jose was our waiter, he put in our appetizers & never put in our main entrees‼️??‍♀️After over an hr., he didn’t check back to see if there was anything else we needed (Since we’d only had appetizers so far). After an hr. We asked about our entrees, he asked what did we order? ? Since he didn’t put in our order, he asked if we still wanted it ?. I asked if we could get a discount since we waited over an hr. then wait for the food to be prepared. They only took one $1.70 off an $18 entree & $1.80 off a $17 which were small as child plates. We had to pay more than that for parking‼️The “discount” for the inconvenience didn’t even cover taxes. We didn’t even get a “sorry for the inconvenience” or “sorry u had to wait over an hr.” Shows how much they care about their incompetence.

The tapas are YUMMY and the drinks are worth it. They have good live music and the vibes were cute. The only downside is that the service is a bit slow, but if you have time to kill definitely try it out and make a reservation beforehand.

Had some tacos that came with some nicley spiced pickled onions and paella($34). Tacos were the star of the visit because the paella was a letdown. They served 2 jumbo pieces of shrimp that had no flavor and were not deveined. I would prefer many small cleaned flavorful shrimp. Also, I only had 2 mussels and 1 lemon wedge. The calamari seemed fishy, and there was no "paella crust". The portion size is good enough for 2 if you're not starving. The waitress lacked luster as well. When pouring the water, she missed the cup and almost knocked the bottle on my lap. Didn't take our drink order on top of not giving a proper greeting upon entrance. If this place wants to charge what they do, they better pick it up, or they'll be closed real soon.

Toro is a beautiful restaurant where the food and the service are matched by the unique and beautiful decor. I highly recommend Toro for any occasion. The experience is a celebration itself.

I lived in southern Spain for 7 years. This food is exactly as I had there. Very quaint and the service was perfect. Attentive but not overly so. I absolutely love it.

Phenomenal experience. Food was all perfect and so delicious. The only possible downside I could mention is that it was really loud, but that’s because they had live music.

I love this place. I come here often. Food \\u0026 ambiance are always amazing.\\n\\nBUT we went last week for my husband’s birthday (with a reservation). Didn’t get seated until 45 minutes later. Other people were getting seated before us without reservations, including a large table.\\n\\nThere was an empty table that was eventually offered to us, but it took them a while to accommodate us or make us feel seen; we always had to wave the hostess down for an update.\\n\\nA little disappointing considering it was a birthday (I guess they don’t read the notes).\\n\\nI understand they get busy, but it’s little things like this that separate good from great experiences – especially when they’re charging above-average prices.\\n\\nOtherwise, great food \\u0026 ambiance.

Recently made a reservation to the downtown location and when we got there the hostess greeted us with and let us know since we made the reservation that morning we would have to sit outside. First strike! It was a cool Saturday but they did have standard outdoor heaters which was ok because it was not that cold but any other night, I would not have been happy. Their outdoor patio has about a dozen table throughout the courtyard which had no real ambiance and we certainly didn't feel like we were at a Spanish tapas restaurant. We were served water immediately but didn't have anyone visit our table for about 25 minutes from the time we sat down. Strike two! Good thing the conversation and laughter was flowing from our table otherwise we would have left. Once a server came he was nice and was able to give some good recommendations. I asked for an item I'd had at the La Cantera location and he noted they are still on an older menu but they would be updating it soon. Once our tapas came I put in an order for our paella because we know it takes about 30-40 minutes for them to prepare. After 30 minutes passed our waiter came and asked if we needed anything else or if we were ready for our check. STRIKE three!! We all looked at each other because we all realized he hadn't put in our order nor had he come around to refill our water, tea or cocktails. When we asked about our paella he said, oh yeah that's right let me go check on it and then he asked which one we ordered, pretty much confirming what we already knew so we waited another 30 minutes for the rest of our mean. Never once did he take ownership of not placing our order which was pretty disappointing. I have been a long time supporter of Toro, even hosted our company holiday party there a few years ago but man has the service really declined. I think I'll just continue to visit the new location closer to me.
