“Recently went to Twin Peaks and had one of the best experiences with my waitress Deasiah. She made sure my family had great understanding of the menu items and suggested some favorites since it was our first time, not only that but she ensured all meals were okay and was very patient with us since we sent back orders to be heated more than once. But overall the food was very tasty but not well heated, I would definitely try it again.”

Now I am the parent as we visited for a Sigma Chi reunion and to show my HS senior step son the campus. It felt good and JORDAN, our waitress was OUTSTANDING. It felt good being there.”

It was an amazing gathering; the outdoor venue incomparable because of the gem of the San Marcos River view, the drinks and food delicious, the service great, and working with Denele Gunnarson, VP of Ivar's was refreshing. “For the last three years my friend and I go to Sequin to pick up girls from Texas Girls State. We found this restaurant and have been back each year. The food is incredible and the service is friendly. This year we discussed that eventhough we will both be retired, we will need to volunteer to bring the girls next year just to go to this restaurant. I had ordered spicy lobster dumplins and Tom Young noodle soup. I could not believe how great the soup was. The dumplins were good, but I had to transport the soup home. The next night my husband and I shared the rest of the soup, and my husband could not believe how flavorful the soup was and could we get more. I may have to travel to San Maros just to get more soup.”

For example most pizza places I normally dont like sausage pizza, but here the sausage used is quite a bit different and I actually enjoyed it.

Overall great place for pizza and I'll have to go back for more. Though parking is a bit of a pain. It's a small lot with not much room to drive through but I cant hold that against the store too much, just be aware of that when visiting.”

For example the “super taco” used to be 4.99 and it still reflects that online however after the most recent visit there the price has gone up to 10 dollars with tax. Other than that a great place.”

The rice and beans were horrible - NO flavor, portion is ridiculously teeny tiny, beans were watery. NEVER GOING BACK! THIS IS THE 2ND TIME, 2ND LOCATION, FOR THIS UNNACCEPTABLE HORRIBLE FOOD.”

The food was definitely kept very warm and has a constant flow of customers buying their food. Their cheese wontons were pretty well packed with cream cheese, though they are the regular style that tastes a tiny bit saltier taste. I tend to like a bit sweet wontons but I still like these too.”

The salsa is good, tomato jalapeño base, like my grandma made. I’d like to see an agua Fresca or two. Will be returning asap”

Went today and sat in line behind two cars for about 4 mins ,until a car pulled up behind me and the lady looks at me and goes to the other car first so I ended up just pulling up because I was there first and haven’t been helped , they keept apologizing to the other people but not the person that they skipped and then called me rude when I called them out on it. Told me they have to skip car, I’ve been there for 3/4 years everyday , I’ve never have been skipped or told that! Manager was nice about it though, but the lady’s I delt with were very rude.”

“I have eaten here many times and they serve breakfast all day. My favorite is the Migas. Tx Bean & Brew is consistent, in that each time the food has been spot-on. There is ample parking. They have what I would call an Italian-style professional coffee maker. I love their lattes and cappuccinos. I can’t stand lukewarm coffee, so I ordered my cappuccino “Very Hot” and that’s exactly how it came out. Today I ordered a large entree that is called the Texas B & B. It comes with eggs your style, two large pancakes, sausage or bacon, and your choice of hash-brown potatoes or hash-brown sweet potatoes. I got the pancakes with both chocolate chips and pecans…just Wow! I also ordered my bacon crisp, which is how it came out. The ordering process is smooth. Simply go to the counter, order your meal, get a table, and the food comes quickly…and freshly cooked. This is my go-to in San Marcos! A BIG plus, dogs are allowed to join diners at the outdoor seating.”

The wait for our wings took a little bit longer than usual but we hardly noticed and the manager even came up to us and apologized for the unexpected wait times. The food was great. Peak service, the cafeteria workers know ball with their song choices. They also were entertained by our jumping jacks and dancing, and gave us all the food we needed, along with information of the veganness.

The atmosphere is very nice. Though the other camps take up a lot of extra room and make the lines long, I believe the staff has accommodated as best as they could by adding another station for the main meal. The music also makes the entire experience a good vibe as the selections are made by ball knowers of what kids these days enjoy.

Overall, I believe Jones Dining Center does their job perfectly well with a wondrous selection of food and a good mood.”

“My top go to favorite ice cream spot since they have been open. Best customer service, so polite/patient, always make me feel comfortable & always let me know I can try samples if I desire. I recommend & love a good brownie or layered sundae but also have gotten the fresh packed pints & quarts in flavors they offer specifically at Baskin Robbins to take home. I have not had a bad experience here from any staff member & I never notice the establishment or the restrooms dirty. I really hope this Baskin Robbins stays in San Marcos. Keep up the great work team! 😊”

“I had my first sub a 12 inch and I'm telling you it was so filling and very tasteful and loaded. I have never tasted a sub as good as this one and will certainly go back and either try another sub or sandwich or anything else they have their. My grandson loved their Mac and cheese for sure. My hubby enjoyed his side dish of tomatoes and cucumbers very fresh and tasty too!. The 12 inch sub was a little too much for us but it were super great and will not go to waste for I will continue to eat up the remainder of it. I'll need to try their Carrot Cake next visit and believe me there will be many from now on. Thank You McAllister the employees were very nice and quickly to do orders. Got a little busy but they all worked together to serve customers as quick as possible. Thank you again, I went to the one by the KOBE Restaurant in San Marcos. Excellent choice!”
