“Recently went to Twin Peaks and had one of the best experiences with my waitress Deasiah. She made sure my family had great understanding of the menu items and suggested some favorites since it was our first time, not only that but she ensured all meals were okay and was very patient with us since we sent back orders to be heated more than once. But overall the food was very tasty but not well heated, I would definitely try it again.”

“These Native New Yorkers were pleasantly surprised! Best in San Marcos, don’t let the poor reviews deter you. The fish and nigiri were fresh and delectable. Good balance of rice to fish ratio. My hubby was raving about the Firefly squid and Hokkaido uni - both which are extremely rare to procure and execute.

Flavor profiles were stronger in nigiri than the rolls in our opinion. However, we’re biased since we gravitate towards nigiri and sashimi more. The chutoro and otoro were good as well, nice scoring skills - melts in your mouth butter type. Oysters were on point too and dressed well. It’s refreshing to have quality seafood here in Texas. Give them a try!”

“We had a graduation celebration dinner for my son back in May and the staff here went above and beyond to make it a very special occasion. The restaurant was unoccupied this night, and the bar area was crowded, so the manager, Derek, put 2 tables together fir our party of 12 and allowed us to order off the restaurant menu instead of the bar menu, which was limited. The food was good, and they were short on ingredients that night, and the service was excellent. The wait staff and bartender staff, Emily A., Theresa, Aliyah, Wisby and Lani, were very friendly and accommodating to our party. I wanted to thank all who made this celebratory dinner a success, and Derek really made it happen. I do recommend this hotel, bar and restaurant.”

The cheese enchiladas are horrible, it had this watery yellow stuff all over it, NO chili gravy, NO enchilada sauce. The rice and beans were horrible - NO flavor, portion is ridiculously teeny tiny, beans were watery. NEVER GOING BACK! THIS IS THE 2ND TIME, 2ND LOCATION, FOR THIS UNNACCEPTABLE HORRIBLE FOOD.”

“I told my kid that I wanted to grab some Chinese food from a place we had not been before. We decided on this place. The menu is slightly confusing. I had ordered Mongolian beef and it comes with crispy noodles. I did see the option where you could get rice, or noodles. I opted for noodles in sauce. I had wondered why my meal was over $20. I also ordered Lemongrass dumplings. They were good, but not sure they were worth the $8 price, not to mention my meal was over $20. The service was amazing when I picked up my food and it was immediately ready to go. The food was fantastic. Other than a bit over priced, it was probably one of the better Asian places I had been to. My did not like his General Tso's Chicken, but overall I was impressed.

I will definitely have to give this place another shot. Now that I know how the menu works, I probably would not go and order another side of noodles, being that my meal comes with it. If you are considering trying this place, I would definitely go. You will not be disappointed.”

Delicious food, with the right “sazon.” I had the migas, which came with beans and potatoes and two tortillas. I’m from the Rio Grande Valley and this food reminded me of home. We will be back!”

“I am a big fan of In and Out, this is my first visit to Shake Shack. It’s absolutely on par with In and Out. Both are fresh and taste great. I’d recommend this place anytime. It’s a must taste burger if your into hamburgers and fries. Awesome. Forgot to mention! The huge outside patio area is Fog friendly! Bring your pup with you. They will love the food here too!

“I had the chorizo bean cheese, carne guisada, chicharon, and bean and cheese tacos. Carne guisada was great, tender and delicious. Chorizo bean and cheese was decent, chorizo is ok, the beans are pretty good. Beans and cheese was good, better than some others I’ve eaten in town. Tortillas are good also, homemade and soft. The salsa is good, tomato jalapeño base, like my grandma made. I’d like to see an agua Fresca or two. Will be returning asap”

“Just ate there today for the first time. I’m from San Antonio and I met friends from Austin there for brunch. Fabulous food. I’m gluten intolerant and there were lots of options on the menu. Yay! Thank y’all so much for those options. I had the Migas and a gluten free pancake. So delicious. Wish you had more locations. We would definitely frequent. Me being part Thai and have grown up eating Thai food I must say that the Larb (Beef)we had tonight was quite chewy and fatty-like texture which was not appetizing . I usually make mine pork and/or beef but no way was Thai Thai’s close to being the same…..Sorry. That being said, I will still eat her again.”

“The chicken is really good, I would give it a 10/10. If you know anything about Mexican carne asada (BBQ) that's what this is. Border town food stuck in between a bunch of terrible tex mex food.

On the other hand, the soup was spot on! It was flavorful and comforting, definitely a highlight of the meal.

The establishment itself was somewhat clean, though there’s a bit of room for improvement in that area.

What really stood out during my visit was the service. Despite being understaffed during my visit, the team did an admirable job of assisting customers as much as they could. Their dedication to providing good service was evident, and I appreciated their efforts to keep everything running smoothly. The staff was attentive and friendly, making sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal.

Overall, I would recommend Mariscos La Fonda for the soup and great service, but I hope to see improvements in the oysters and cleanliness on my next visit.”
