I've been eating at Alvin Ord's for years. Overall, the service is consistent, the atmosphere is super chill, and the sandwiches are fantastic. I like everything on the menu. The Salvation is excellent, my personal favorite.

The Salvation sandwich is my favorite. This place always serves up good quality food and food service. It is within walking distance to the San Marcos River and Texas State University.
I’ve loved this place for 10 years. Recently, they’re decreasing the meat and increasing the prices :( Delicious as ever, but $19 lunch for one person and barely any meat on the sandwich is wild.

What happened to the bread?! It was thin and overcooked. My jaw hurt to eat it! It used to be thick and buttery soft but it was nothing like it used to be. It's been years since coming here, I wouldn't go back.
