“I was so excited when I found out Rhea's had a San Marcos location. I had originally discovered its New Braunfels location after leaving Schlitterbahn one day, and it instantly became my favorite ice cream shop! Not only is everything handmade, but it's delicious too! I absolutely love their wafflecones, and my favorite flavor is their caramel sea salt. It's hard to find wafflecones that are authentic, flavorful, and don't taste like cardboard, but Rhea's made them perfectly. Food aside, the staff is generally very friendly and hard-working too. It's overall one of my favorite local businesses, and I genuinely hope they can keep thriving.“

They were in the cleaning and shutting down routine but was still so nice and welcoming. We were laughing and being loud, 6 of us. They were so polite and patient and even laughed along with us. “Arctic Chill is the BEST place to get snow cones in San Marcos! They seem to be the only place that knows what EXTRA cream means! They use plenty of flavor and don't leave "ice gaps" I'm so glad I found out about this place!“
“Dq was my first job, I ended up managing Dq from 16-27 (11 years) then moved out of state 3 years ago, mind you Texas Dairy Queen Food is only available in Texas. So after eating Dq everyday for YEARS, I haven’t had Dq in 3 long years, so I came to this Dq and ordered everything that I couldn’t order out of state, and I mean everything, I went CRAZY. Got a belbuster, chili cheese fries, nacho deluxe, tacos, jalitos followed with a steak finger basket, and DEAR BABY JESUS, every single little crumb was unexplainable phenomenal! Shout out to this Dq for fulfilling my Dq quench in the upmost, spectacular way ! Food was insanely bomb, service was extremely solid! Even after a severely complicated order, everything was prompt, correct and just utterly perfect!“
“Great location. The cookies and treats are front and center when you walk in. They are labeled so you know what they are. The handler used gloves to get our cookies out. She generously offered to warm all the treats for us. They are then boxed with blue ribbon. The place was very clean. The staff was prompt and professional. We will return.“
“I love this place. There are so many cute hidden spots to sit and all the different seating is cute. There is a mix of openness and privacy. It's not loud. The Taro gelato with brown sugar drizzle is my new favorite. The sweet potato gelato is also quite good. There is a free sauce station for the gelato, but it's right next to the paid toppings, so don't get confused. The guy at the counter is polite and helpful. Free samples are available for the gelato.“

But, alas, I'd been gone from San Marcos too long and the yogurt shop I remembered behind Subway was now smoothies. And probably had been for longer than I cared to admit.So we ventured back to IcyRolls. So glad we did. I've had this type of ice cream before, but this place takes the cake--I mean ice cream. There are about 20 flavors listed on the menu. At the time of our order $6.95 was the going price, but that includes unlimited toppings and syrups.I found the IcyRolls version to be as good as I remember. The free toppings were an unexpected surprise and bonus.If you're looking for an ice cream treat, give them a try.Highly recommended.“
