I was so excited when I found out Rhea's had a San Marcos location. I had originally discovered its New Braunfels location after leaving Schlitterbahn one day, and it instantly became my favorite ice cream shop! Not only is everything handmade, but it's delicious too! I absolutely love their wafflecones, and my favorite flavor is their caramel sea salt. It's hard to find wafflecones that are authentic, flavorful, and don't taste like cardboard, but Rhea's made them perfectly. Food aside, the staff is generally very friendly and hard-working too. It's overall one of my favorite local businesses, and I genuinely hope they can keep thriving.

Great little place. The only reason for a 4 star is that they do not allow/provide samples. There were 5 of us, and 2 of us did not like the flavor they chose. I'm guessing they don't provide samples because they are in the middle of college town and students come in getting samples of every flavor, then don't buy anything. Idk.

Delicious!!!! I usually buy two pints a month. Goat cheese raspberry is my favorite flavor and it's so unique! The waffle cones are really good and i usually buy extra to-go. The place is always clean. Fast service. They deserve all the support and love

The best ice cream ever but everytime i go in here in kind of smells faintly of cat pee. Even outside, the staff is pretty friendly and helpful. I'm not sure if the smell comes from the store or one of the neighbors. Love the ice cream though

Went here because a photo of the menu said they did shakes but once we arrived the girl told us they don’t even have a milkshake machine... The salted caramel was okay. Tasted more like salt than caramel though.

Heaven! Delicious Ice Cream! Came here with some kids as a reward. I was rewarded!! Nice selection of ice cream and homemade waffle cones. I had the S'More flavor, and I loved every bowl scraping to the last delicate bite. Service was great. The scooper lady was quiet and friendly, but not overly helpful deciding which one I wanted. The kiddos loved the ice cream and the cute little place. Emphasis on "little". This place can only handle small groups, but it is a great place. Try it out when you're in town.

Ice cream was a little icy. I do not recommend circus animal crackers flavor it doesn't have much flavor and is the iciest.

People here are so friendly and wow the ice cream was so delicious that I came the next day. I got coffee Oreos, you can take the coffee flavor and the chunks of Oreos in the coffee ice made a great combo. It was so good!! The place inside is so cute but the place is small. I really highly recommend this place if you are in the area.
