Chicken-fried steaks here are the absolute REAL DEAL and excellent value for money at $12.95 for a "small" and only $5.00 more for the "large" which gets you a 2nd steak with country gravy on a separate plate. The chicken-fried bacon is not to be missed if you stop in, it was an amazing appetizer.We were warmly greeted, service was prompt and everything was delicious! Short ride from Houston, but if you like a reasonably priced steak, there is nothing to complain about. Does it have the greatest ambiance? No, but it is comfortable. X-small Sirloin, 16 ounces. X-small T-bone 16 ounces Large T-bone 32 ounces Ribeye about 16 ounces cooked medium, nothing to complain about. Cans with salad, mashed Potatoes and texas toast, all for 22.95. A good deal. Service was prompt, kept the coffee filled. I would return, and don't forget the deep-fried bacon....read full review

Well was disappointed today this restaurant used to be good today I came in town and ordered a steak plate it was so bad it tasted like it been heated up from 3 days ago not one it was one of the thinnest steaks and I usually can break it right then it was very tough today and the potatoes was watery and no seasoning in them they have really went down the food was thrower together in a rush and the waitress didn't even ask what side she just said fries with your steak don't...read full review
