The Grapevine is always a must when we're at South Padre. This is the place where you want to start your morning and pick up a great cup of coffee both hot and chilled. The coffee always stayed full and warm and not once did we have to flag down staff since they were always attentive and on point. This is a great location for coffee, drinks and brunch. It's always a treat to stop by and hang out for a while.

Food was mid and service was bad I understand that it was busy but you would think that after an hour and a half of waiting you would at least get good food the harsh-browns served to me where basically the bottom of the pan scraped and the actual amount of potato was not even enough to feed an infinite. Lastly they pick up your plates faster than it takes to serve them the ambiance was ok but to loud.

A must eat when visiting SPI. Amazing food with reasonable prices. It's our #1 place for breakfast on the island. Kids plate is a great deal for our kiddo. My favorite is the migas plate and my husband has to have the breakfast taco. Also the coffee..chefs kiss

This cute resturant came highly recommended and it did Not Disappoint! From the inviting atmosphere to the irresistible menu items and the welcoming staff this place lived up to the hype! We enjoyed our breakfast and wished we had room for so MANY other things on the menu! I love that they offer so many GF options! We will definitely have to enjoy this place when we are on the island again! PS David (we think he was the manager) was super friendly too!

Honestly I was a little disappointed with our food here. Not bad by any means but with the other reviews, I expected more. The wait was over an hour but I liked that you could join the waitlist online. Our server was super friendly and our food came out fairly quickly. I got the skinny omelette and a short stack of the lemon blueberry pancakes. My omelette was decent, as described. The potatoes were pretty good. The pancakes were the let down. There was no lemon to be found and hardly any blueberries. They weren't "goat cheese pancakes" like described, they were a generic pancake mix with random chunks of goat cheese. Wasn't impressed and def wouldn't get again but luckily they were affordable for the portion. Overall, good service, decent omelette but def overhyped.

This was the second breakfast joint we chose on our recent stay on SPI. It was highly rated on Yelp and the ratings weren't far off. I chose their biscuits and sausage gravy breakfast plus added two eggs and two strips of bacon. The biscuits were light and fluffy. The cream gravy was a bit sparse and the sausage didn't appear to be cooked IN the gravy but dumped atop the biscuits and then the gravy was poured on top of that. It was a bit weird presentation wise but the taste was good so I enjoyed them. The over-easy eggs were fried a bit fast or with too much heat and had lacy edges which I don't care for but I'm used to that so they were ok. The bacon was just ok. No one here in the RGV makes really good bacon. Or hash browns apparently. But they do other things well so.......... The wife ate most of a short stack with some amazing Bourbon Pecan Praline Sauce that she said was really, really good. Their coffee is really good and our waitress kept my cup full. I'd definitely choose to come back when on SPI.

We ordered mostly breakfast when we visited a couple times. The shrimp in the omelette was Fresh and yummy! My gf kid was SO excited to have so many gluten free options - thank you!!Lemon blueberry goat cheese pancakes were amazing!! Friendly staff, delicious coffee, fun atmosphere.Dietary restrictions: Great smoothies that the whole family loved (but perfect for those of us on restrictive diets). Lots of gluten free options ?Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly cups and meals ?

Mmm mmm mmm! Oh my my my! We just ate the best breakfast SPI has to offer at Grapevine.We order the Huevos Rancheros Vallartas, Huevos Rancheros Benedicto, and the Chicken and Waffles. For desert, we had French Toast Sucre and it was bursting with happiness!!!The food was all so good. It was like a Fiesta in our mouths. I swear, my grandma was in the kitchen cooking! No cap!Rosalia was our waitress and she made all the suggestions that were spot on. She was so pleasant also.

Grapevine Cafe is our go to for an excellent breakfast on the Island. I particularly appreciate their selection of milk alternatives for my coffee. Juevos Rancheros is always my choice, my husband goes for the standard American breakfast. And chips/hot sauce, of course.
I've been coming to Grapevine for years and I feel like the quality of food has declined. I'm also sad to see they did away with the large burrito and barbacoa options. I ordered the off menu chicken and waffles. The chicken was overcooked and bland. Edible but not very inspiring. Would look for breakfast options elsewhere at the current prices.

Breakfast is Fantastic..best coffee on the 6/24Wife and I had breakfast today and we still love the Food and all..however she was Disappointed in the Crabcakes Benedict. What happened to the Crab Cakes. They seemed to have Gotten so Small you couldn't even see them or hardly taste them...
