Floy's Seafood seems to be the go-to spot for seniors in Sugarland, but it fails to impress. The menu, which claims to offer Louisiana or Cajun cuisine, feels gimmicky and the quality is lacking. However, my biggest concern is with how they handle alcohol service. Every time I've been there with a date, I've noticed that the staff freely serves drinks to patrons without considering their intoxication levels. Allowing customers to leave clearly drunk poses a serious safety risk. This negligence is not only irresponsible but could have devastating consequences.

Food is great here. The portion is big and right for the price. Only the beignet is meh. The dough is a little bit dry. This place is definitely worth the visit if you're around the area.

Had lunch special. Blackened catfish w red beans & rice. No real flavor in either. Fish was dry.Definitely not up to the quality I would expect from Floyd's.

The food was really good, I just wish the crab bisque didn't have so many small pieces of shell in it.

Went at lunch. Busy but not crowded and not noisy. Excellent food. Tried the redfish, crayfish bisque, shrimp pasta, bread pudding, sopapillas, jambalaya and chicken fried chicken. Also the alligator appetizer. Everything was very good. Prices reasonable compared to amount of food. Excellent service.

Absolutely disgusting. You need to take the Cajun out of the description and write the word BLAND. There must be different definitions of cajun as everything was unseasoned. The jambalaya looked like it tasted. The extra garlic bread that I ordered was soggy. My mom liked her food because she likes bland food. Twenty years ago I would have sent it back, I will just never come back.

I really wanted to like Floyds because we love Cajun food! We ordered crawfish, fried catfish, and shrimp en brochettes. Crawfish was not seasoned well and overcooked. Catfish tastes dirty and flavorless. But the shrimp en brochette was what I couldn’t get over. If you order the shrimp en brochette for $18.99 this is what you get! Shrimp en brochette anyone? Very disappointed! We ended up sending the shrimp en brochette back. If you are looking for good favorable Cajun food this is not the place!
