I wrote a review on Yelp about the treatment my husband and I had been experiencing at the Los Tios location in Sugar Land and didn’t receive ANY response from management. In my opinion that’s ridiculous! Especially since the complaint was racially motivated. My husband and I moved to Houston in 1997 and have been loyal customers for years. To be treated this way for no good reason is hurtful. The subject of this matter is a bartender by the name of Reyes. He has made rude remarks and gestures towards us for a long time now. From passing us off to other servers to making drinks for other people before us even though we had put our drink orders in first. When I did ask about my drink, he snapped at me and said “I told you that I was busy!” There have been other occasions where he has treated us badly. The list is long. To be truthful, Reyes isn’t the only one that has shown this type of behavior towards us at this location. There’s really not a lot of Black people that frequently go to Los Tios and my husband and I were regulars. We went at least three times a week. Not anymore! It’s truly sad. Something needs to be done and swiftly!
Very nice people, service is very good. The food is good. It's the closest that has an authentic taste to Mexican food that's not Texmex. Not that I don't like it, but I prefer the authentic taste. Oh, the tortilla soup is really good!

Really good Mexican. They make great food the authentic way, do not baste everything with extra butter and garlic nor charge ridiculous prices like Pappasitos, Ninfas and Lupe Tortillas. It is one of the few original Houston Mexican restaurants that did not get caught up in the "experience" craze, thus, fajitas for two is reasonable, not a $40+ add-on dinner like other area restaurants.

Went this past Friday. The place still gets packed. Love the puffy queso and fajitas. My favorite is the cheese enchiladas. If you go, ask for Jose. He is an amazing waiter!!!
This is our favorite place! Great food and the best frozen margaritas! Best puffy queso too! We love Jose! He is our long time waiter and he gets it done. We will continue to come back weekly!
