Delicious food and great lunch specials. They have a lot of seafood dishes. Bring friends for a great meal. You won't be disappointed

I was really hoping for great things when I came here...but was left continuously dissapointed. We visited during lunch and there were no other customers, I guess at that point I should have suspected something. I ordered the roti canai appetizer and beef flat noodles. My friend ordered the L11, fried rice noodle with shrimp, lunch special. The appetizer came out quickly, but that's about the only thing that was quick here. Only my entree came out about 5 minutes later. After 15 more minutes, we began to wonder what happened to the 2nd entree. We asked and noticed they were boxing a large to go order in the middle of the restaurant. They said they had to fill a huge to go order first then would get to ours. Gee, thanks a lot. So another 15 minutes later...the 2nd entree finally came out. By that time....the first entree was cold sitting on the table. During the boxing of the large to go order, a couple other customers getting to go orders came in and one was complaining why are things taking so long? The reviews are correct when they say once you receive your entree....don't expect to see your waiter again. I had to flag down the other employees just to get a refill....and some other items we needed.Overall, both dishes were not exactly Malaysian, more just Chinese dishes and nothing special. Maybe I should have stuck to the strictly Malaysian dishes since the appetizer was the only thing I really enjoyed. I didn't feel the sauce was spicy at all...but other people say it is.The other annoying thing was that a gnat was flying over the table for most of the time I was there....which is way longer than I should have been....so it was pretty bad....I was thinking to myself why did I even bother to come here unless the food was awesome...which it wasn't. Don't think I will be returning.

Finally had a chance to visit Singapore Cafe today when I live so close by!We came by early lunch on Sunday, so I think we were the first party for the day. All the servers were very helpful and attentive, so the ambiance was really nice!We had the Roti Canai for appetizers. The bread was really good - flaky, crispy, and just the right amount of chewiness! The sauce will depend upon your taste - it had a strong curry flavor, I was okay with it, and my SO loved it. The sizzling tofu was the bomb! I think this was even better than my all-time favorite Banana Leaf's! The shrimp and pork pieces were decent size as well, and the flavor was on point. The only dish I thought was below average was the Haianese Chicken Rice. Definitely had it better elsewhere - I wouldn't order this the next time I come back, but excited to try their other dishes in the future.Tl;dr: definitely a strong contender for Malaysian/Singaporean food in the Sugar Land/Missouri City side of town, will definitely be back!

A small, hole in a wall, restaurant in a strip center in Sugarland, TX with less than 50 seats (~40+), serving Singaporean/Malaysian dishes. Descent flavors on the few dishes we tried. Nothing fancy, but for the menu options and price, we believe this is okay for occasional visits and if you want to try something different than what might your regular meals consists of. All in all, not too bad.-- Interior --Simple decorations with accommodations for less than 50 seats. Clean. -- Staff --At the time of our visit for dinner, their were only 3 other tables seated (total 9 person) plus our party of two. The restaurant was not busy on a weekend night, with a few take out orders. The staff were friendly, smiling and attentive. -- Chicken & Beef Satay Skewers --Good flavor. Chicken and beef were covered with descent marinade. However, some of the beef satays we found was dry and a little tough.-- Hainanese Chicken with yellow rice --Hainanese chicken had good flavors too, tender pieces of meat, served on top of some soy sauce at the bottom of the plate. However, we find that Hainanese chicken dishes from other establishments in the Bellaire Chinatown area tastes a little better, more flavorful and aromatic (smell helps with the experience along with taste, texture and visual).-- Beef Rendang --Their beef rendang are full of flavor, as expected. Beef were tender and eating it with the side of cucumber slices and rice, gives it a balanced bite (I think). Strong flavors from the heavy sauce, tender meat and cucumber to slightly water it down, makes the bite not too overwhelming in flavors (if this is your thing..)-- Malaysian Style Spare Ribs --Great flavor, but some meats were tough. Given that the spare ribs is not really a softest of cuts of meats (ribs), and how it is cooked for this dish (deep fried it seems), we think it could use an additional step in the cooking preparation to tenderize the meat and makes it still juicy when served.

Warm and welcoming customer service. We tried several of their signature dishes: Roti Canai: roti is soft and chewy, curry dip is on point, must order. Curry Noodles Soup: if you love curry, this is the for you. The curry soup is creamy and flavorful, paired with some egg noodles and vegetables, a very filling dish. Malaysian Style Spareibs: another must order dish. The ribs are crispy, the meat is tender and juicy. It doesn't have any strong flavor but it's very tasty. We also tried their fried rice and Singapore fried noodles. Those two are the reason for only 4 stars. Both dishes taste very similar and a little burnt, we weren't impressed with these two dishes.

First time here. I read great things about the Hainanese chicken rice and it did not disappoint! Melt in your mouth goodness. The Roti with curry sauce is a great addition! Very friendly and attentive staff. Will definitely be back!

Saw this place on yell and had to give it a try. We were craving some Asian food and this place was pretty good and saved us a drive to bellaire lol. The roti curry was good. The roti was flaky and buttery the curry dip was a tad bit salty but good. The curry puffs however had a delicious sweet curry filling. We also got some decent Thai tea. The entrees were the star of the show we got the beef hor fun with that delicious wok hay flavor and the fish and eggplant with black bean sauce so good. Will be coming back !

Ewww. Not good. The pictures made me want to try this spot, but let me tell you it's not worth your time or money. Sweet and sour shrimp was bland be and slimey. Calamari had an off flavor. S

I ordered 5 different dishes and none of them were great or good, but maybe 1 of the was okay. The shrimp was mushy, over cooked, no texture and lacks flavor. The chicken had a weird texture and color, even the aftertaste wasn't anything that I want to savor on. The beef was tough, beware of you wear prosthetic teeth. We forced down what we could because it was late at night, but over 75% of it definitely made it to the garbage, between 3 adult size stomachs. This is by far the worst food I've tasted from a restaurant thus far, and I been to a fair amount of restaurants.Grubhub tip first setup sucks, as well, as a good tip was provide for a pick up order, so the place could have made sure my food was worthy of being consumed and not thrown out. There should be a tip later option with a timer connected to it just incase the service was not worthy or more worthy of the planned tip.Parking: Free

I came here for the first time after ordering Uber Eats from here a few weeks ago and their food did not disappoint whether at their restaurant or delivery.Singapore Cafe is a minority owned, family operated, causal, family friendly restaurant serving authentic Singaporean/ Malaysian cuisine, that’s delicious. Service is quick and stuff members are attentive.Their Malaysian Style Spareribs, Beef of Chicken Satay, Roti Cana and Egg Plant with Sambal are addictive and among my favorites from here. Their curry puff also really food, they are flaky and crispy.I highly recommend this restaurant!

I've been meaning to write this review for a few weeks, but better late than never. If you're not sure about going here, just go. I live one street over from this little strip mall and got all kinds of mail with menus and what not, but was nervous to try it out.We finally decided to go and were not disapointed. The food was delicious, and the service was superb. They were very friendly and had many great suggestions for those unfamiliar with the menu. We're definitely going to be regulars going forward!

The restaurant environment is very hygienic and the food is delicious. Hainan chicken is the signature of the restaurant, and I order it every time I go there. For drinks, the Thai milk tea in the store is delicious. Worth a visit!

The service is outstanding and food selection is good. Prices are reasonable. One thing that needs to be fixed is the abundant use of peanut oil in all dishes. The cook needs to slow the pouring of all liquids ? maybe a new cook with old recipes is needed? The place is clean and did I mention service is outstanding.

Singaporean hainanese chicken rice, curry puffs, and roti canai. The rich flavour of the rice comes from the grains that have been pre-fried in chicken fat and then cooked in chicken broth. The chicken is so tender, absolutely melt in your mouth! Another dish that I can't find in Mississippi, the taste is very comparable to steamed rock salt chicken to me. Curry puffs was flaky and crispy, great potato curry stuffing. Roti was also flaky, and had a nice slight chew, the curry dipping sauce was flavorful, wished I had more to drizzle over my rice.
