“Easily the BEST sandwiches in Austin. The staff is beyond kind, helpful, knowledgeable, and just overall positive. It is also a beautiful atmosphere with great music playing. A friend and I went for the first time yesterday and both left smiling with full bellies. The porchetta was out of this world and my friend said the meatball was the best they have ever had. “Let me start off by saying that I stand completely corrected about what I wanted. While here for a conference, we asked our hotel clerk to recommend food choices, including donuts. She mentioned this place and said we should make it our business to go. We were impartial but ended up on Congress St looking for food when we spotted this location. I'm sooooooo glad we decided against NOT going. As soon as we walked in we knew we were in for a treat. The ambiance was totally welcoming. I love a good aesthetic and this was perfect. If you want to dine in, work, read a book, this is perfect. We were immediately greeted and the given recommendations on what we should get. I got the Key Lime and Strawberry shortcake. Everything was perfect...the filling wasn't too tart, the donut to filling ratio was perfect. The strawberry filling was definitely homemade. It was a donut I haven't had before. “The food at our wedding was the star of the show thanks to Royal Fig! The staff was wonderful from the start. We had a fabulous tasting with them which honestly made it so hard to pick our menu- everything was AMAZING! We ended up going with passed appetizers and a plated dinner. They were so accommodating with our little tweaks and changes to the menu and guest list. One thing that really made our day special was that since my husband and I were unable to attend cocktail hour (due to taking pictures) they dedicated a server to us to make sure that we didn’t miss out on the appetizers and cocktails!
