I am shocked. $63. For a rather small cake. Now to the cakes appearance and flavor. It came in a beautiful box. The card in top of the box explained the cake was refrigerated. When I removed thecake from the box I was speechless. It was covered in a plastic bag. The white chocolate and dark chocolate shavings looked awful. The white chocolate was actually yellow in color. Not at all appealing. We let the cake sit out for 3 hours before cutting into it. The cake itself was gummy. GUMMY! The milk chocolate center (poured into the middle hole in the cake) was so hard it couldn't be cut. The way it would crumble made me think it had been refrigerated for some time. This was for a very special occasion. Normally,I would never spend so much on so small in size. Janie's cakes put a sour note on the festivities.

Total rip off $27 for a baby Jane that's literally the size of a bagel. Never again. Frozen undercooked doughy cake. Big

Always a pleasure to walk in and enjoy the blissful aromas in the air coupled with kind smiles and genuine greetings by name. Because, here… your family! The selection is awesome! Cakes dripping with mouthwatering concoctions infused with local spirits. Hands down the best! I was amazed once to even learn that all cakes are made with select/local farm raised eggs from the community. In short, Katherine & Janie are amazing people whom love what they do!

I have been meaning to write a review for a long time! Janie’s Cakes is amazing! Our favorite is the Italian Jane, and the bourbon pecans are addictive. My husband doesn’t care for cake (weird lol) but he loves Janie’s cakes, and so every year for his birthday, I pop in and get one for him ?. They are always so flavorful, the filling in the middle is delicious, and packaging is always so pretty. The staff is extremely kind as well. My only complaint is that they aren’t open on Saturday, but Fresh has them in stock, so there is an alternative at least, and if you’re not last minute like me, you can plan accordingly.Seeing some of the negative reviews saddens me. I always keep in mind, that people are more likely to leave a review about their 1 bad experience than leave a review about their many good experiences. I’ve got a couple of things to say about some reviews I see. If it’s too expensive for you, make your own, no one’s forcing you to buy Janie’s Cakes. They’re not like your “grandma’s pound cake”? Well it’s not your grandma’s pound cake. Lol

Locally owned, DELICIOUS pound cakes! We always send the Italian Jane and Plain Jane Pound Cakes to family and friends for special occasions or to lift loved ones spirits. These make the best gifts, too. Their beautiful yellow and white striped boxes with a blue ribbon put a smile on everyone's face. They make me happy just thinking about them. They also make the best biscotti! Buy two bags because they go fast. Some might say that they are a bit on the expensive side but I say it's absolutely worth it. You get what you pay for and you will love their cakes.

I sent some cakes to my father for Father's Day, and while ordering, I was charged two shipping fees for the 3 cakes. When the cakes shipped, I received an e-mail from the company stating that they were able to fit all 3 cakes in one container and credited $56 of the shipping cost. I was very pleasantly surprised at the good faith of the company. My father enjoyed the cakes, so all around, a great purchase.

The service was Excellent. Ashley greeted us and was Extremely knowledgeable and nice. Ashley gave us the History of Janie's Cakes and a Sample was Offered. Ashley was Extremely Pleasant and Gracious. Ashley is an asset to Janie's Cakes and if she is a reflection of the entire organization, the sky's the Limit. Thank You Ashley! The cake was good, but I think we'd stop by, Just to say Hello to Ashley. Awesome!

I just rushed across town after speaking with them on the phone about an order. I arrived at 5:20 and they had already locked their doors. They told me they would be open until 5:30. Their hours are listed as open until 5:30. Very unfortunate and very bad business.

Cakes are delicious! But too pricey. $52 for shipping a $26 cake?! Unfortunately, had to pass

I got a Saucy Baby Jane filled with chocolate sauce and topped with chocolate shavings. It tastes great. It was delivered on time. I got extra chocolate sauce which maybe I didn't need but it's ok. I'm a chocoholic!

My vanilla pound cake was so dense I had to saw through it to get a slice and was almost impossible to get through with a fork. The vanilla flovoring was nice at first but then became almost too much and left an unpleasant artificial after taste in my mouth. Definitely not woth the $30 I paid for it and ending up running to Ingles for a Thanksgiving dessert after a taste test.

I spent way too much for dry flavorless cakes...

I have ordered several cakes from Janie’s Cakes to be shipped to my out-of-state-family. They always deliver a delicious, quality cake. I highly recommend Janie’s Cakes for that special occasion. They never disappoint!!!
